TWW Intro is Not Talking About Child Link's Timeline

It says that Gannon comes back, but Link isn't there. He had traveled off after Ocarina. He went after Navi and ended up in Termina. Gannon came back while Link wasn't there, and no on could defeat him, so the goddesses flooded Hyrule, making way for TWW

No it's talking about how Adult Link was sent back to his child time after Ganon was sealed away in the evil realm. Years after that Ganon came back after the seal was broken and the people prayed for the Hero of Time to come back and he never did making way for the flood and for TWW.

If Hyrule was flooded on child Link's timeline than there would be no Hyrule in TP as TP is a direct sequel to MM and it also shows the banishment of Ganon to the Twilight Realm after child Link was returned and warned Zelda and the King of Ganon's plot.

I'm a bit confused about what you are getting at since it is confirmed by the Hyrule Historia that the Wind Waker occurs on the Adult Timeline.

It is like ALIT said. It is confirmed by HH so there is no way denying it. Of course you may differ but it is at it is. TWW happened on the Adult Timeline and NOT in Child timeline. The intro in WW talks about how the Hero defeated evil but the Hero never came back after that. The people were hoping for the Hero to come but he didn't come to help. So the story became a legend.
