They did it. I don't know just how they got a 3DS to respond, but they did it. I'm more astonished that they beat gens 4 and 5.

It's hardware modification. It uses the same principle as the Shiny Catcher/Pokemon Hatcher.

Since it's on an actual 3DS, random people can instigate trades with the game controlled by the Stream.

It actually has a pretty decent amount of people simply because it's Pokemon X. It's about the same as what you'd find with Emerald & Fire Red -- and, who knows, it might grow after the word is spread around more.
