So who is the kid in TWW? Just some completely disassociated kid? I guess that's what they keep trying to say in the game... Just seems so strange that in that timeline there will never be an incarnation of Link, but plenty of boy heroes who look EXACTLY like him (TWW/PH, ST).
Well my theory is that there was ahero. The flood was not an incident, but a method of sealing a Ganon that had become far too powerful. This hero would never have been recognised as a hero because the land flooded and of course the people would be reeealy grateful for that.
SPOILER ALERT*
We know from OoT that a male is born to the Gerudos every 100 years. This is Ganondorf. This also leads us to believe, with the help of SS's ending of Demise putting a curse on Hyrule "For as long as Hyrule is in existance, there will be reincarnations of Link, Zelda, and an Evil Force (Ganon/Ganondorf)", this leading me to believe that whenever ganondorf has respawned for his next 100 year term, Zelda and Link do too (maybe not at the same time, due to the age difference between Ganondorf and the 2 kids, but within the time for Ganondorf to be an adult, and the two to be within teenage years). But in the adult timeline, the time between OoT and TWW, it is not proven (but is speculated), isn't too big of a gap. Because of this, we are able to say that when Ganondorf was locked away in the silent realm he broke out soon later. Since it is the same Ganondorf, a new Link was not spawned, and Hyrule was flooded. This is important. You have to note, Ganondorf has the power to be imortal in time due to his dark magic. He would most likely do this to stay in power, probably not aware that a new Link and Zelda will be reincarnated. And when they are (Why a new ganondorf is not spawned with the spawning of a new Link and Zelda, I cannot explain, maybe because there was already a Ganondorf alive), Ganondorf is finally defeated, only to be reincarnetd within the next 100 year cycle. Well, I guess that's all, hopefully it isn't too scattered all over the place.

I have some questions about TWW's backstory:

1) Who are Tetra's parents? Someone had to give her that piece of Wisdom.

2) Where did Fado come from? If the Kokiri are immortal why wasn't he in OoT? And why was he the Sage shown and not Saria? Obviously by "current time" in the game, all the Kokiri are now Koroks... but how did Fado take over sagehood from Saria?

3) Who placed the pieces of Courage under the water?

4) WHY exactly did no hero appear? Was it that they were waiting specifically the Link from OoT? Surely a Link was alive during DNH's reign: where was he? Why didn't he step forward? For a while I thought that maybe this was due to OoT's Link going to Termina and so any future incarnations of him would be in that parallel reality instead of Hyrule... but where does TWW Link come from then?

1) Descendents of the Royal Family who eventually become commoners/pirates. The King of Hyrule stayed with Hyrule when the Goddesses flooded it and sealed it away. His wife most likely went with the others above the waters, and thus the Zelda line continued with the passing down of the piece of the Triforce

2) Saria was the Sage of Forest and Fado was the Sage of Wind entrusted with a different task than Saria.

3) No one. With Link gone from Hyrule the pieces scattered throughout the land/sea. For the game play purposes, Nintendo added in the charts/treasure chests.

4) I hate the split timeline idea, but it's what Nintendo has given us....so: At the end of OoT, the Sages seal away Ganon and Zelda sends Link back to his childhood. The adult time line still goes on with out a Link so the bloodline is broken, the childhood time line moves forward with a Link so you get the events in Twilight Princess. In the Wind Waker, showing Great Courage, Link becomes the new hero and a new bloodline is created. I believe, due the appearances of all the Links being the same, the Goddesses may have some intervention in this Links creation.

1. Tetra said in the game it was from her mother and she should gaurd it with her life. One thing is for sure, it bloodrelated. The piece is giving from generation to generation.

2. Its never stated in any zelda game that the kokiri are immortal. Thet only maintain their child form. Fado did not took over the sagehood from Saria. Simply because Saria is the sage of the forest temple and Fado the sage of the wind temple.

3. Dunno, but it is stated by the King of Red lions thats the Triforce of courage splitted into 8 shards. Each shard represents an element that made OOT Link a hero. To further support this, count all the dungeons you cleared in OOT.

4. WW is a sequel of the adult timeline, there is no relation with MM. Link went back to the past remember? So there is no Hero anymore in that timeline. The WW link was not a Hero to begin with.

I always thought that Tww Link was just some random kid who got involved when they kidnapped his sister. Doesn't the King of Re Lions say that he proved himself to the gods when he finds all the triforce pieces, or something like that? However, idk about the real Hero of Time:hmm:

Tetra's mother maybe a pirate and descended from OoT Zelda (maybe). Aaand that's Tetra.
