Theory about Ganoncorpse and how he ties into BotW 1.

After talking to people on other boards about Ganon in BotW 1 and 2, I feel confident about sharing my perspective, based on what we know about the series in previous titles.

Here it is: Calamity Ganon is Ganondorf's spirit, which Ganon split off from his body through his hatred and malice to continue menacing Hyrule even while sealed underneath HC; we see demons ''surviving'' and able to cause harm as spirits(see the final two forms of Vaati in TMC for an example), And Ganon has split off soul before so he could roam around in Hyrule despite being sealed away. Look at Agahnim in ALttP, called a ''bunshin'' of Ganon in the Japanese version with its meaning being ''offshoot'' or ''soul split''. This could also explain how Ganon's body reawakened after such a long time; in ALttP, Agahnim and Ganon were made one again after Link struck down Agahnim in Ganon's Tower, so it would make sense for Ganon's spirit and body to become one again, leading to him being reawakened in BotW 2. Also, Ganondorf seems to be sealed under HC, and the HC area is where we see Ganon first emerge in BotW after his revival.

To sum up, Ganondorf thinks his physical form is weaker than the calamity form, mummified himself and split off from his body.

The thing is now that the malice has been destroyed and what was that made him go
