No, it's complete. Before each new area was shown, the area was shaded to show the area it took up.

Nintendo said there would be no connections between each Province. This is because the Loftwing is our main form of transportation.

I think that might be some surprises, some smaller appended areas that are not explicit in the map. But it's pretty much it, and it's big.

I'm still curious if we can travel through everywhere in that deep forest of Faron Woods (next to the Sealed Grounds) or if it's just there for show.

Nah, it's done. On the Skyward Sword website is showed unrelieved areas in a shaded perspective. Now there are no more shadows. BUT THERE IS NO NEED TO FEAR!!! Though it may look like a small would I guarantee it is huge!!!!

This is the whole map. Some people found this map on then Skyward Sword site so its not like Nintendo is still holding out on us.

I think it's just decorative, to give the impression that the mountain range goes on, but they are not accessible in game. It's only natural for Eldin Province to be smaller, since it's more vertical, has lot's of caves and tunnels and it's harder to traves.
