General Modern The Minish Cap is Too Underrated.

I totally agree with you. Though its not a particularly long or difficult game, it is spectacular in many ways, the culmination of the Four Swords series, and as far as relevant plot goes, probably a lot better at being a prequel than Skyward Sword was. The dungeons, though few, were spectacular, as was the overworld and puzzle design. And the graphics were charming. An amazing game that nobody ever talks about. Minish Cap and Oracle of Ages and Seasons are all spectacular games that few people experience any more.

I agree I think it is definitely underrated! The Minish Cap might possibly be in my top 5 zelda games. I love the music, the story, the gameplay, the locations, everything. It's extremely entertaining to play and doesn't require extreme effort due to the short length and how easy it is

I liked it a lot.

The game boy games just don't get the attention they should get. I think the game is fun (I am soooooooooooooo close to beating it, damn you Vaati and your minions!). It reminds me a lot of A Link to the Past.

Yeah I'd agree with that sentiment, it is too underrated. Unlike a lot of current-gen gamers I really, really like GBA games, for some reason I find the spritework to be the most expressive and detailed of any. Looking through the GBA archive I would say Minish Cap has one of the best 2D visuals to date, second only to Mother 3 (btw, where the HELL is this game Nintendo?! We all want it, just give it to us!!!) Vaati is a nice change of pace for villains, not my personal favorite but still quite good. The music is also pretty good, on par with what is expected of a Zelda game. My favorite thing about this game, though, is the dungeon design. These dungeons are LONG, and that's awesome. In fact, I would go so far as to say it's my favorite of any 2D Zelda game and up there a ways overall (on par with Spirit Tracks, and just behind Ocarina of Time's, Majora's Mask's and Skyward Sword's)

So yeah, I really like Minish Cap and wish more people would give it a chance.

I really liked minish cap and am one of the lucky few who still has a cartrage (man am i glad that i searched for it when i moved lol). the music was awesome and i thought that it was cool that they added the sprite voices like zelda's giggle lol plus i think that control where good and the graphics were amazing and smooth. i think the only thing that brought it down was the kinestone fusions because you could actually miss some (man). i still prefer OOA and OOS but it is still awesome.

Minish Cap was my first Zelda game, so naturally I love it, but that's not the only reason. It had good music, some cool new items, it was really fun, and the idea of having a whole Minish world hidden from view inside of the human world was awesome. Minish Cap is my personal favorite 2D Zelda game, and I think it had the coolest alternate world idea.

I've had more fun exploring Hyrule town in this game as both a minish and as a boy then I have had playing many other games combined.

The minish cap is one of my favorite titles. I loved how normal size enemies suddenly became bosses just because you were tiny. The game didn't mess around with a long introduction and got you into the action almost imidietly. Like people said, the gb/gba Zelda games are simply overshadowed by the console games. Even phantom hourglass and spirit tracks aren't talked about too often and they are both recent games. I really want to get a 3DS so that I can have a collection of all the portable Zelda games but I don't know how long it will take Nintendo before they finally release everything.

I've never played the game, but I have the MC manga. I think MC is really cool. I don't think its underrated at all, but thats my opinion. I also found out you can play it on a normal DS system. I might buy it so I can play it. Anyway, the Minish Cap is really cool in my opinion. Its one of the best Zelda games.

Not disagreeing with your statements, but how can you call it "...one of the best Zelda games" when you also say, "I've never played the game..."?
