The Lost Woods (OoT)

It is said that when a kikori child without a fairy gets lost in the lost woods he or she will become a skull kid. There is also evidence to support the idea that if a hylian stays in the lost woods too long, they will become a stalfos (I think its a stalfos, but I cant remember correctly.) So, what do you think other races would become?
-Gorons
-Zora's
-Sheikahs (if you count these as different. i'm a bit vague on what sheikahs actually are.)
What do you think?
My bet is that zora's would become octorocks, but as for the others, i have no idea.

Apologies if this thread is a duplicate but i looked around and i couldnt find it anywhere.

I think Gorons would become Darknuts, Zoras would become the warrior zoras (big green fishy things from PH) and i basically consider Shiekah humans and i would assume that any human, not just Hylians, would become a stalfos. Deku people from MM would become the deku babas.

It is interesting, I never thought of thinking in other species to become different things in their walking inside the Lost Woods.

My two cents is that I personally think Dekus are not affected, since we find more than a few living there, so I think they are one of the invulnerable species.

The dekus in the lost woods are like monster/evil deku. I think that those are a different species of Deku from the ones you find in MM.

This is a very interesting topic. I've never really thought about it too much.

I also think that the Deku's wouldn't be affected because we find them there. Or maybe they just become evil Dekus

I support these:

Human -> Stalfos
Goron -> Darknut
Zora -> Octorok or Green Fish warrior
Deku -> Deku or Evil Deku

I think they may be a different specie but not necessarily evil, just very closed to strangers. Since they do talk to you in the Deku Tree and even betray their queen to give you info.

Again, my opinion.

I would not say Zoras would turn into Octoroks or warrior versions of themselves, but I think rather, the owner of the Zora band in MM, I forget the bands name, but he was round and more fish like.

I don't want to say.
The creatures seem to turn into malformed versions of themselves.

Hylians= Stalfos
Zoras= Zolas
Gorons= My guess is that they would turn to either "Deadrocks" or "Nejirons" because they resemble Goron's alot.
Dekus= They would probably become "Mad Scrubs" Although they are not different much from regular dekus they are much more fierce and insane.
Also the Dekus in the Lost Woods aren't all evil, some of them just have a habit of spitting nuts when they are tyring to speak.

I was thinking earlier because i was running through the game. In the lost woods you see alot of rocks, just randomly scattered on the floor. I was thinking, maybe this is what a goron becomes.

So, say a lone goron wanders through the passage between death mountain and the lost woods. Becomes lost. Curls up to die, and freezes solid and becomes, a rock!

Also, if memory serves me right. There are actually no water monsters in the lost woods, so perhaps zoras have never entered the lost woods, as it is too far from any real supply of water.

Another theory about gorons.

I think perhaps the reason why they change might have something to do with the atmosphere of the place. Perhaps this is an area where Some great evil took place in the past, and an essence of that evil still remains in the air. Some sort of magic which enters any strangers body and alters their genetic code. Changing them into something else, something similar to what they originally were, but with more aggression, and hatred.

Another theory is just that the place is so... well, annoying, that it creates a great rage within the individual making them far more violent. The creatures that you actually encounter in the Lost woods have probably been there for so long that there is absolutely no chance for them to turn back. This could be an explanation as to why Saria was never effected, as she clearly knew the way around perfectly.

I don't know if the Sheikahs would be changed by the Lost Woods. To me they just seem too strong to be affected. I do like the theory

I've heard the Hylians turning into Stalfos and the Kokiri becoming Skullkids theory thing before, but I never really thought about other races. Maybe it's just that I found it odd that they would even wander into the forest altogether? I mean, when you think about it, the only Hylians that ever enter the forest in OoT are Link's mother (when she gave him to the Deku Tree, but you never see that ingame, just hear about it) Link, Grog (theh guy in the trading quest that gives you the Odd Mushroom) and the Running Guy when you race him from Gerudo Valley.

If the other races were to wander into the Lost Woods, my guess would be the Gorons would turn into either Moblins (mentioned above) or those rolling rock things that blow up when they hit you in MM (I know they aren't in OoT, but it could be plausible since you never see a Goron in the Lost Woods). I think the Zoras would most likely turn into Octorocks (as mentioned above) only because those are the only enemy in the 64 Zeldas that sorta resembles a Zora. I also have to agree that the Dekus would just become the Mad Scrubs.

I don't think the Gorons would just turn into rocks...I'd just let that pass over as a geological feature, but I do think it is a good theory. And as for the mention of these enemies not being in the Lost Woods, the Moblins are and there are Octorocks in the Forest Temple as well as Stalfos. So, maybe if the other races were to wander into the Lost Woods, instead of roaming the Forest as monsters they would then be forced by whatever evil is existing in the forest to stand gaurd over the Forest Temple.

I think they'd stay the same. I"m not really sure, noone is, and yes, it was a stalfos. In the trading sequence at sometime there was a girl who said the other person stayed too long and was magically transformed into a stalfos. I really don'y know about the other races. I really think they'd just be disaffected.

A little bit. Moblins were some sort of pigs though, so I doubt goron's become that.

Then someone also brought up the idea that they could become nejirons (goron like creature's in mm) or w/e, but I think it said in the official zelda site they look like gorons, because they've adapted to look like them so they can hunt them more easily (or something along those lines).

I do not think zora's could be octorocks, octorocks seem a little too different.. But I do believe Zora's would go mad and become like the ones in alttp.

As for goron's, I'll just guess they become rocks.

It was also said zora's might become like the manager of indogo-gos, but I don't agree since the king of the zora's in oot out of all people was just like that.
