The Golden Bee?

Okay, so what is up with the Golden Bee in ALttP? For those of you who don't know, in the Dark World equivalent of ALttP, Village of Outcasts, there is a shop that sells regular bees for eight rupees, fairies for 77 or something like that, and a shining bee on display. So what's up with the bee? If you try to buy it he says that he won't give it to you. What exactly does it do? And how do you get it? Thoughts?

I believe you show him the one you caught on Lake Hylia—where you got the Ice Rod. I don’t remember if he gives you anything for it, though…

After you show him a golden bee, he will start selling them. I don't remember the price, but I never but them anyway. If you release them when enemies are around though, the bee will attack them.

its kind of usefull, but really not important, to me it is a slightly stronger, more expensive version of the cane of byrna
