That is a strong choice, and I think he makes the Finals for sure in a battle.BOTW/TOTK Link. He can litrally attach things to weapons and use tons of different gear. He can also recover health with food. He has acess to Shiekah and Zonai tech/weapons. The food he eats can power him up temporarily. Idk if these count, but he also has the champions and sages abilities. He has a Shiekah Slate that can make bombs/iceblocks on the spot. Did I mention the arm? If he wants to, he can yeet his opponents off a cliff if he wants to. Biased opinion. He's the best Link ever.
I separate Adult and Kid Link because of the timelines, and that Super Smash Bros. Melee even did that. Its easier to track them, because Kid Link is different depending if it Ocarina game timeline, Majora Mask Tagline in which he never was an Adult because of Zelda's wish, and so forth.Very bizarre selection of Links, seeing as how you’re combining some of them, separating the Hero of Time into 2 distinct choices even though they’re the same character, and leaving out a few of the canon ones.
Regardless, this has been a thread topic before, and my answer still remains the same: if you were to have them fight 100 times, Hero of Time wins about 50 of those, Hero of Winds wins 25 of them, Hero of the Wild wins 10 of them, and the last 15 are spread amongst the rest, with the version of Link from LttP/LA/OoX probably winning most of those.
Hero of Time is still the same person regardless of the timeline though. He still has all of his memories and experience in MM from being an adult in OoT. Pretending that they’re different Links is like saying LA Link is different from LttP Link because LA takes place inside of a dream.I separate Adult and Kid Link because of the timelines, and that Super Smash Bros. I put Other when there are ones I did not readily remember.. you can select it and give your vote.
I get he is the same person, but because of timelines he is real different. It's like deciding is Darth Vader seperate from Anakin or the same character? Well essentially yes, they are same person sorta.. one is vastly different in personality.Hero of Time is still the same person regardless of the timeline though. In addition to that, the Link in EoW is a different Link from the one in LttP/LA/OoX, so he shouldn’t even be combined. The version of Link in Four Swords is different from the version of Link in Four Swords Adventures too.
Except Anakin and Vader being “different people” is actively being used as a writing trope in Star Wars, if anything they do the exact opposite in OoT/MMI get he is the same person, but because of timelines he is real different. That is just objectively false. The simple fact that Link and Zelda meet for the first time in both LttP and EoW alone means they have to be different versions.According to some light research ALTAP Link is Awakening and Echoes Link.
Unless them meeting again is just for the player's benefit, Nintendo has to often replay things for new players, because not everyone has played the other games. Though I will say I'd prefer they just have a bubble of dialogue that "we meet again."Except Anakin and Vader being “different people” is actively being used as a writing trope in Star Wars, if anything they do the exact opposite in OoT/MM

Being for the players benefit doesn’t change the fact that, as it is written, they have never met before.Unless them meeting again is just for the player's benefit, Nintendo has to often replay things for new players, because not everyone has played the other games. Although in Totk this happens with a lot of characters and Link, even though Totk is a sequel to Botw.Being for the players benefit doesn’t change the fact that, as it is written, they have never met before.
That’s just because TotK is one of the biggest trainwrecks in Nintendo history. The difference is that TotK was always advertised as a direct sequel using the same characters. EoW is not.Although in Totk this happens with a lot of characters and Link, even though Totk is a sequel to Botw.
Well Echoes was made after Totk, so its possible they used the same logic then. That’s just because TotK is one of the biggest trainwrecks in Nintendo history. The difference is that TotK was always advertised as a direct sequel using the same characters. EoW is not.
In the sense that both are so poorly written that it’s insulting, I guess. You’re still ignoring the fact that EoW was never advertised as a direct sequel like TotK was.Well Echoes was made after Totk, so its possible they used the same logic then.
True, but boy it uses all the asthetics of Awakening, which is the same Link as ALTAP. I admit I can remove EoW as being connected, but I stick to Awakening Link and ALTAP Link is the same Link.In the sense that both are so poorly written that it’s insulting, I guess.
