Sword Idea

In skyward sword they clearly portay it as if you were holding a sword in real life. While i was watching some demo videos I had an idea, which was, if they sold a master (or skyward) sword replica jacket that you put the wii remote inside just like mario kart, or wii sports. They could even maybe make a simaler shield jacket for the nunchuck (although that would be harder. I was wonering if this was a good idea, and if this was an idea that had crossed everyone's mind, not just mine, or mabe if it's good should somebody send it to Nintendo. Tell me what you think.

I have never thought of this - in fact, this is a brilliant idea. I support you all the way. In fact, I think you should even write to Nintendo, telling them your idea

no... adding a sword attachment to a game where you are frequently swinging your wii remote would be disastrous. Also the wii remote is used for more than just your sword.

Im not takling about a huge 5 foot sword im talking about 2.5 max, and if you dont have enough space just dont use it. My other idea was to have it easly removable in case shooting the bow with a foam sword throws you off for some reas

pretty sure there was a thread about this on this forum around the time of e3. anyway, it's been thought of (as eternalnocturne has shown us). and, if you think about it, you'll realize it's not a very good idea for the same reasons JMsmash said. Also, any added weight (no matter how small) is a huge con. It'd add too much discomfort for what it's worth.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, If someone playing SS in the future didn't like it, nobody said they had to use it.

Well I doubt I would be able to use it as I sit in this chair pictured below and would probably end up hitting the sides with the long blade. So I personally would not want them to do that.
