Unfortunately, the falling trees render Ardeel and Co. unable to make it to the scene of the potential crime, and they find themselves back into town. His attention turns back the way they came, his mind racing as to discern how to get to the scene.

sawing logs. banging nails. building a guildhall that no one asked for

Since they're back in town, Oregano picks up a greatsword real quick.

Ardeel does not notice Oregano's leaving, and thinking that he is still with Lenora, Ardeel promptly rushes back to the scene of the potential crime, which unwittingly leaves Lenora by herself. Shuffling through random bushes and downed trees' branches, he finds himself very much obstacled, but he eventually arrives at the scene. It was just as he feared...he was too late.

Oregano returns to where he left Ardeel and Lenora to find only Lenora. "Where'd Ardeel go?"

"Uhm... I don't know," Lenora responds confused. "He just ran off. I didn't have time to ask where he was going..."
