Sword Art Online: The Game Begins

Asterius does not take Lupus's bait, but instead begins to take in a large breath. Ardeel, noticing the boss's maneuver from afar as he and the rest of his group ran to assist Lupus, calls out to him.

"Lupus, keep moving around! The boss is preparing a lightning breath attack! It won't give you much time to dodge!" With the knowledge of the beta testers and info brokers, the raid team arrived to this battle with more knowledge than before, which was part of the reason things were running smoothly for the most part. In light of this circumstance, the group pursuing the main boss split into two subgroups in order to better dodge his ranged attacks.

 

[Storm]

Lupus dodges the lightning breath, and goes around the feet to trip the Taurus

 

[DekuNut]

Lupus is much too small compared to the Taurus to actually have any effect. The creature raises a hand to smash the little thing poking its leg.

 

[Storm]

Lupus runs out of the way before the pillar he knocked down to trip the Taurus falls down

 

[Mido]

The pillar crashes, leaving a small cloud of debris that briefly disorients Ardeel and Co. He noticed beforehand that Lupus's attacks seemed to leave Asterius unfazed, especially since the boss clearly noticed Lupus's endeavor. Still, that wasn't the problem. Lupus had the right idea, but how was the group supposed to take advantage of the distractionary opportunity? The only other thought on Ardeel's mind was how the other group was progressing on Baran.

 

[Mido]

Ardeel looks back now, his in-battle patience wearing thin if only due to nervousness. The fight against Baran had not ceased yet, and Asterius was by no means letting up. Worst case scenario: they lose their aggro and have Asterius pursue the Baran units. Unwilling to take any chances, he impulsively, yet with a ton of fear at his back, joins Lupus on the front, attempting to distract Asterius while the others in the Asterius unit kept their ground. Running towards the side, Ardeel pole vaults with his staff and promptly draws his bronze sword, preparing a hammer strike. Unfortunately, Asterius picks up on Ardeel's reckless move and parries it, the force of the parry sending the poor player back into the adjacent wall. After a loud grunt/shout, Ardeel hits the ground with a thud, his HP dropping considerably, but not fatally since he did not take damage from Asterius himself.

"Ugh," Ardeel grunts. "Come on, guys. You can do this!" After a few moments to breathe, Ardeel picks himself back up with his staff. The boss aggro turns to the main units against Asterius.

 

[DekuNut]

Some redhead jumps at Baran, dealing the final blow to the creature they once thought was the boss. That leaves one creature left for the crowd to attack.
Al watches the creature topple and grins. He was getting tired, but seeing that thing disappear gave him a burst of energy. A second wind.

 

[Storm]

Bel and Lupus team up and head to strike at the Main Boss

 

[Woyogoyo]

((Lemme guess, secret boss?))

Oregano smiled tiredly as Baran went down. Two down, 98 to go. He sighed as he thought that, as that wasn't exactly encouraging.

 

[Storm]

(There was a third one that busted out)

 

[Woyogoyo]

((Thought so.))

 

[Pen]

Lenora too now goes for the main boss. She attacks it fiercely with her claymore. No more people would have to die today!

 

[Storm]

Lupus and Bel go for the legs of the beast. have someone else from our team get the coup de grace

 

[DekuNut]

After Lenora's hit, Asterius yells loudly. His skin starts to glow - the players can feel the heat coming off of him. It starts to smell a little like beef. But he continues to attack. Asterius raises his hammer as his skin blackens and goes for a wide swipe at a large group of players.

 

[Storm]

"Al. take the final slash"
