A reason possible Ganondorf's reveal has been held back this far is because he is being changed, like Yoshi, or it could simply be a case of the pace we're getting characters and it hasn't been in his favour. I have personally never had a problem with Ganondorf as-is in Brawl, and Melee to a lesser extent. It is an absolute certainty he will be luigified, but to what amount, I have no idea. He could receive some new standard attacks and a special move or two, like the Mario/Luigi pairing, or he could be given a sword and change everything bar some standard attacks. In terms of alternative costumes, Ocarina of Time is the most plausible, but in that case, it would be odd to see him battle with a sword when you consider OoT Ganondorf was magic-based...

Here are all the stage Direct screenshots, starting with those on 3DS. The Find Mii/StreetPass Quest stage, which was previously shown off via a pic of the day last year, and the here-revealed Balloon Fight stage were seen only in footage. The Boxing Ring on 3DS has solely been seen in miscellaneous screenshots, Final Destination is known to exist but has made no sight, and the Tomodachi Collection stage still has yet to make an appearance outside its tease in a pic of the day earlier this year. One retro stage has been seen on 3DS so far, Jungle Japes from Melee, and has screenshots below. It previously made an appearance as a retro stage in Brawl, as well.

Battlefield

Reset Bomb Forest

3D Land

Spirit Train

Gerudo Valley

Arena Ferox

Tortimer Island

Living Room

Prism Tower

Rainbow Road

Jungle Japes

All Wii U stages bar two have screenshots dedicated to them. The retro stage Halberd from Brawl, and the Kalos Pokemon League, a new stage hardly seen for the first time in the Charizard and Greninja reveal trailer. It has two known segments, the Main Hall and Dragonmark Chamber

Final Destination

Battlefield

Mario Galaxy

Pyrosphere

Town and City

Boxing Ring

Pilot Wings

Skyloft

Windy Hill

Garden of Hope

Wii Fit Studio

Palutena's Temple/Skyworld

Wily Castle

The Stages section of the Direct can be found here.

I can't wait for this game to come out. I've spent so much time obsessing over what it might be like, and this series is one of the main reasons I'm finally going to get the wii u.

Each of the five characters revealed in the Direct has a great amount of screenshots released showcasing them, dozens. The first eight Wii U images and two 3DS images of each character are identical to those on their page on the official site (except higher quality here), and less than a week ago, we got a great deal more. So many, in fact, they're worthy of being put in their own spoiler tags. Unfortunately, Charizard's 11th Wii U image is corrupt no matter where you look, so I've left it out.

Here are the final screenshots from the Direct. They are all related to the menus, specifically the music and online sections. To start off, there are six that are from the 3DS game, showcasing certain stages from the menu. When these were shown in the Direct, it was brought up how stages on 3DS will have two tracks each, like certain stages from Melee. Due to the dimensions, it is known these are captured from the lower of the two 3DS screens.

The Wii U alternative is My Music, like that of Brawl. Players can adjust a slider for the likelihood of particular tracks to play when a match begins, with all stages having two minimum. This is an example for the Skyloft stage, where it can be seen the player has five tracks unlocked and their respective likeliness. New features include a "default" option, which likely adjusts the tracks back to their original setting, and the markings for whether a track is new or not. "Original" tracks are ported from originating games, while "arrangement" text comes in two forms, plain and red. Red is likely a brand new piece, and plain markings are arrangements from previous Smash Brothers games, possibly. With the example below, this would mean "Ocarina of Time Medley" is the same piece that was featured in Brawl, whereas "Main Theme" and "Saria's Song" are new remixes we are yet to hear.

Getting into online, there are two modes known to exist when playing with strangers. They are "For Fun" and "For Glory". "Fun" is played with items on and battled on any stage except Final Destination, and "Glory" is with no items and Final Destination only. A record of your victories is kept in both modes, but "For Fun" does not count losses. "For Glory" also allows for one-on-one matches.

Global Smash Power is the inverse of a ranking system. The count tells players how many others they have better scores than. It is only calculated with Solo modes, and not multiplayer battles. Your number has some influence in who you battle in random online matchmaking.

For the first time in the Smash series, Beam Swords will feature graduated colors. The attack item on the left is the Fire Bar. This is a peculiar weapon that becomes shorter after each swing.
Both of these items were featured in the Direct, with latter being seen for the first time ever in it, and the former a series staple that now has perfect attendance. Beam Swords have been various shades of purple and blue in previous entries, but like all other Smash Brothers-original items, have recieved a new design for the upcoming titles.

Here's a special stage exclusive to the 3DS version, Balloon Fight!! The stage loops on the left and right sides so you can walk off one side and appear on the other.
This stage continues the trend of 8-bit stages in the series, and it is the first coming from the otherwise long represented Balloon Fight series. Its gimmick is a first for the series, and is sure to put a great spin on how the game is played. The Fish was also a hazard in the Ice Climber's Summit stage in Brawl, and the Flipper obstacles were an item in Melee. The layout here differs from that we saw of the stage before in the Direct, suggesting it is randomly selected from a few potential Balloon Fight levels.

Don't eat him. You can't eat him.
Charizard is quite wild without its Trainer, chewing on Waddle Dees.

Yoshi's Egg Throw now leaves a rainbow trail, and we've improved the pose Samus strikes when she fires the Paralyzer. Every staff member is working hard as we brush up whatever we can.
We know lots of the moves of veterans are being changed, and here is more evidence that even the aesthetics of returning moves are far from being neglected.

Mega Man!
Mega Man Star Force!
Mega Man Volnutt!
The Mega Man legends, united.
Mega Man's Final Smash. It is unknown how it functions, though regardless, is very cool.
