Hi Pokemon fans I dont have sun or moon yet but my bf does so was just wondering if we can battle each other if I'm on Y or omega ruby through local wireless or a friend code?

You can't, different setups for the games would be the main reason the 2nd is until january any pokemon that isn't in the Alolan dex do not exist so you'd literally be unable to use any pokemon.

Ah well will have to wait until new year then when I can get a copy of the game. Do you know when the poke bank is updating to include sun/moon or has it already happened?

Again it'll be january time, i imagine theres gonna be one big update, that'll link the games again, it's boring only fighting alolans
