Stupid Question for Timeline

Does Link go to the Past in ALttP and kill Ganon there? what else? I'm trieing to get the timeline.

No. The title "A Link to the Past" is only a reference to being a prequel to LoZ, added by NoA. In Japanese, the game was called "Triforce of the Gods."

The alternate world in which Link kills Ganon is the Dark World, which is parallel to the 'light world.' Link only goes between two worlds, not between two times. If you want to get technical, he travels along the 5th and/or 6th dimension(s), but not the 4th.

Prequel = a game set before X game.

Sequel = a game set after X game.

ALttP was released before OoT, but is after OoT and before LoZ on the timeline.
