Square, Enix Co or Square Enix?

Square, Enix Co or Square Enix - which do you think made better games and why?
Note well - Squaresoft is the US subsidary of Square, the international company.

Lets run through a selection of what I think is some of each compasny's best games pre and post merger. There are more games than I've listed here of cause.
The main summary is Dragon Quest comes from Enix Co and Final Fantasy comes from Square.

My personal favourite? Probably Enix Co. I like a few of the Square games and by association some of the SquareEnix games. But I really don't like all that much in relation to the new IPs intented in the SquareEnix era. Most of the games here I like originated with Enix Co.

My favorite gaming era of all time is the Squaresoft golden age of the late 90s.

Final Fantasy IX
Xenogears
Parasite Eve

That's enough, really, but they also made Tactics, Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross among others.

Legendary stuff.

Square made Chrono Trigger, which is in my top 10 best games ever made, so naturally, I choose Square.

[A Link In Time]

The classic Square is where it's at. I think some of their newer games are better than their efforts in the late 2000s/early 2010s but not as good as their work in the 90s.

Both have amazing titles but I'm going with enix for dragon quest and because I have pure disgust for everyting FF after 7 and Kingdom hearts.
