Destiny 2 will remain multiplatform, Bungie says

Sony is acquiring Bungie, developers of Destiny, and formerly known for their work on Halo during the original Xbox and Xbox 360 days.

It feels weird to see a developer so widely associated with Xbox now under the Playstation banner. It makes sense Sony felt pressured to buy a developer after Microsoft's massive acquisition of Activision Blizzard earlier this month. That said, it seems that Bungie games will remain multiplatform, so it's a little unclear to me what Sony is getting out of this. Maybe DLC first on Playstation?

That is quite a switch considering some games that come from Activsion used to be PS exclusive and now MS owns them and Bungie used to be part of MS. Its all so bazar.

Now Sony needs to revive Marathon while Microsoft gives us some more Crash content.

Meh. It seems a lot of the talent left Bungie before they went independent and made Destiny. Wasn’t a big fan of that game. All this coupled with the fact they will still be multi platform, I just don’t understand this move.
