SONIC IN THE SONIC MOVIE!

Y'know.... I have to give it to this movie.
I've never liked Sonic, I think his concept and mechanics are fundementally flawed in both 2D and 3D... Sonic was created as a product of his time to rival something of the time...
He wasn't art for art's sake or made out of passion, he was a corporate creation filtered through focus groups and suits...
I don't believe Sonic has ever been truly good. I think he is a laughing stock.
Yet somehow this movie manages to make him WORSE!!
It is mind boggling to me after how far Sonic has fallen throughout my life that creative teams still exist that can make me cringe anew at Sonic The Hedgehog.
Well done, movie. Well done. I didn't think it was possible for Sonic to sink any lower...

The old school Sonic art style on the box art of the Genesis games and Sonic Mania as well as Mania's opening cutscene would have worked better. Yeah, it might be harder to make it work in movie form, but I think it would look better. This looks like Sonic 06 if it were a movie.
I think he looks ugly. He has Momo's smile!
Sonic games tend to be crap, I think Shadow was the only one that is good and didn't give me a major complaint, its usually the gameplay that does that though. I actually like the characters of Sonic, particularly Dr Eggman. Therefore I am interested in what Jim Carrey's version is going to look and be like.

Yeah... just skip the movie and play the new Sonic all stars racing when it releases...
