Shiny Pokemon

Have you ever had any encounters with shiny Pokemon, other than the red Gyarados? And using shiny codes on an Action Replay/Gameshark doesn't count.

I actually was up at 4 in the morning one time, and I encountered a red Lotad on Pokemon Sapphire. I thought I was seeing things, but I caught it, and it turns out I wasn't. I love my blue/yellow Ludicolo! <3

I have played every Pokemon game to the end and have never come across a shiny Pokemon... (other than Gyarados) But perhaps it's because I always use Max Repels because I hate encountering wild Pokemon..
