Pathfinder and D&D are very similar, but are also different. Just keep that in mind if you don't play Pathfinder (I admit, I never have)

Having played 3.5, 4E and Pathfinder, I can say, it's like comparing different versions of D&D, and is most similar to 3.5. It won't be hard for you to switch over.

Some people even use 3.5 and pathfinder together. In fact, I'm allowing you to choose a D&D 3.5 race if you want if it's not in pathfinder

Gatewatch - Magic: The Gathering RP
Sword Art Online - Right what it says on the tin
Shadows of Twilight - A sequel to a previous RP that covers the Twilit Invasion from TP in a different timeline
Dark Disney - The characters have conquered Disney World and we have to take it back
ZD-i High School - A high school RP that makes fun of anime tropes
Hyrule Civil War - the war that took place before OoT, where Ganondorf tried conquering Hyrule with military might.
Rito's Beak - Post-WW Pirate RP
