The Dark Knight Rises, here's some of my own personal copypasta!

The Dark Knight Trilogy was a phenomenal movie franchise. Christopher Nolan did a wonderful job combining comic book aspects, while making an entirely unique film. The Dark Knight Rises truly shows off his directorial capability, and his capability to keep the characters true, but have a unique story line within itself.
The Dark Knight Rises begins with 3 men with bags over their heads, being escorted to an unknown place by a doctor and a mysterious man. The arrive at a CIA plane, and the CIA operative demands to know who Bane is. While on the plane, the officer threatens to throw the three men off the plane if they don't talk. The operative pretends to kill two of them, and the third one immediately talks, saying something on the likes of "Why kill a man and not throw him off the plane?". The operative then precedes to take of the bag, and BOOM! Bane is right there. The CIA operative asks what would happen if he were to take off his mask. "It would be extremely painful." Bane and his men then take action and the CIA plane is torn to pieces by gravity, and dropped off.
The beginning of the movie was right to the point, yet phenomenal none the less. It introduced Bane as exactly what he is, a ruthless, strong man. Yet throughout this movie, he uses his strength to his advantage, yet all the while meticulously planning Gotham's downfall.
I don't want to reveal too much, but Batman falls to women many times, there are many twists in the story, especially towards the end. With the ending in mind, I doubt there will be another Batman film, but I am expecting a Nightwing Film.
Rating: 10/10

This is a must see.

The last movie i watched was Tin Tin i'd give it a 9/10. It was kind of confusing following the story but it's a nice action, comedy, adventure, and cartoon movie. :)

I watched Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close last night. Based on the book of the same name by Jonathan Safran Foer which I too have read (before I saw the movie). Usually I am extremely picky when it comes to watching movies based on books I really enjoy reading due to all the changes that they have to make but I found that this movie managed to get me to forgive it for its sins.

The actor who played Oskar flawlessly captured the eccentricities that were described in the novel of a child who may have Aspergers and fully drew me into the diegesis of this movie; Sandra Bullock's performance is of a caliber I do not think she has shown for a very long time and to round it all off; Tom Hanks, an actor who I do not usually like (The Green Mile being an exception) was tolerable for me as Oskar's father, and as well as that, the score (and in some instances lack thereof) really added to the overall dramatic feel and tone of this movie.

Overall, I would give this movie a 9.5/10 and that is purely because of the differences in the ending between the book and the film.

The Hunger Games. It gets an 8/10 from me. I would say 10/10, but the camera work was a bit rough. Sure, the first person point-of-view was a cool aspect under anyone's speculation, but at times it was so rushed and bumpy that I got a little dizzy.

Otherwise, it was pretty well done when it comes to following the plot of the book. A lot of directors usually change stuff around, but because Suzanne Collins - the author of The Hunger Games - was on set, I'm sure that she had a say in how the movie went as well.

I watched The Hunger Games last night, sorta kinda. While initially I would've given it a 10/10, after a comment by GaroXicon a while back, the camera is a bit shaky and the story feels ever so slightly rushed in manners I couldn't explain. THG gets an 7.5/10

I'ma be an overachiever and give a few capsule reviews for the past three or four that I've watched.

Most recently I watched Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. While I had seen it in theaters, I decided to give it a second watch in the hopes of improving my opinion of it. Disappointingly, my opinion remained about the same. It's not a bad film, but it's weakened by a poor supporting role from Noomi Rapace and a wholly uninteresting villain who, despite his brilliance and clearly considerable resources, is hatching a scheme with the ultimate goal... of money. I mean really? 2 stars out of a possible 4.

Fortunately, before that I had watched one of my all time favorites, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind! There's not enough praise for this film. Visually stunning, emotionally satisfying and endearing, expertly acted, and just... god. Amazing. 4 stars.

Further back, I watched (500) Days of Summer, a charming romantic comedy that - while somewhat afflicted with the quirky-curse of indie films past 2000, ultimately manages to be funny, endearing and honest in equal measures, focusing not on the annoying romance tropes but on the moments in between; moments of uncertainty, of insecurity, but also of rapture and unbridled enthusiasm. Bolstered by strong leading performances from Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, it's one of the best romantic films of the aughts. 4 stars.

Before that, I rewatched the masterpiece Chungking Express. Unknown to most (a real crime), Wong Kar-Wai's film about love in Hong Kong plays jump rope with plot conventions, relying on editing to convey a story dominated not by causality but by coincidence. The direction, cinematography, and editing of the film are so well executed that it manages to create a set of compelling but entirely unrelated romances with minimal dialogue. 4 stars.

So yeah - I've watched a lot of personal favorites lately.

The last movie I watched was Ted and I wish I hadn't. If you've ever seen Family Guy, you've seen Ted. It's not just a similar style of humour, all of the jokes are lifted directly from the show and copy-pasted into the film. In fact, there's one scene set in an aquarium and, literally, the only reason why is so Seth McFarlane can do his Stewie voice. Seth McFarlane just isn't funny anymore, he hasn't been for a while and Ted is just shambolic. 1/10

The latest movie I watched was The Amazing Spiderman, and I'd give it a 7/10 because while the story didn't really catch on for me, it was still enjoyable to watch.
