Question about plants and flowers

are plants and flowers the same entity or is a flower something different than the plant? Is the flower like hair and nails which is technically alive ,but it’s part of the human?
Asking because my plants flower died and apparently their blossoms die quickly.

Flower are part of the reproductive system, more specifically it's there to attract insect who'll clamber in and get pollen on them so when they ahah buzz off they spread pollen around.

Flowers are just part of a plant's anatomy. Blooms aren't designed to last since they serve reproductive purposes; some plants flower more frequently than others, and the duration of a bloom depends on several factors. Some plants don't flower at all.

If the plant is an annual, the bloom marks the end of the life span for the specimen, and it counts on hopefully having pollinated for new plants to grow for the next season.
