Hey guys! I've been thinking lately, and I was wondering how you all pronounce certain things in Zelda. There's always the fie vs fee, and the mowblin vs mawblin, and all of that good stuff. So, in this thread, please post how you pronounce any Zelda related names/items/things, and compare with everyone else. This is how I pronounce certain things:

Fi= Fie
Ghirahim= Gear uh him
Moblin= Mob Lin
Bokoblin= Bah kah blin (Said fast)
Lorule= Law rule
Yiga= Ye guh
Anything I'm forgetting? (I'm sure there are LOADS of things I didn't put on my list)

We've had a few pronunciation threads lately, but it's been quite awhile since we've had a general pronunciation thread. I'll bite.

Agahnim // ag uh nim
Bokoblin // boh koh blin [OR] buh kah blin (inconsistent back and forth depending)
Deku // day koo
Farore // fah roar [OR] fah roh ray
Fi // fee (I know it's wrong; I don't care)
Gerudo // gur oo doh
Ghini // genie
Ghirahim // gear uh heem
Gyorg // g'ee org
Kokiri // koh kee ree
Lorule // low rule
Mido // my doe
Moblin // mob lin
Sahasrahla // sah hash rah lah
Sheikah // sheek ah
Skulltula // skull chool uh
Twili // twigh ligh
Vaati // vat eye
Yiga // yee gah
Zant // zahnt [OR] zant

And, now for a comprehensive breakdown on how I pronounce all of the sheikah shrines--

As you can see, there are a lot of difference. Here are a few more of mine:

Deku= dee coo
Twili= Twi lie
Mido= Me doh
Vaati= Vah tea

Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule = Daff-ness No-han(d)-sen(d) Hyrule
Kokiri = koh-kee-ree
Deku = honestly it changes but I think I say Deeku most of the time, it's another one that got grandfathered into my "pre knowing japanese pronunciations" word
Koholint = KOHholint (as opposed to emphasis being koHOHlint)
Moblin = mob lin
Bokoblin = boh-cob-lin
Yiga = Yee-gah
Farore = unbiased mineral deposits
Fi = fee
Girahim = Geer-ah-heem
Faron = almost comes out more like Fehrun, but it's mostly just the lack of emphasis (as opposed to how some people i've heard say FAY-ron)
Gyorg = A hard 'g' (like 'get') on both ends, all one syllable, no emphasis
Gohma = go mah

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule = Daf-nees (hard e, like in "cheese") No-han (hard a, like in ham or "look ma! no hands!") sen (as in "sensei") Hyrule
Kokiri = Koh (hard o, like in "coke) Kee-Ree (like cheese), sometimes expedite the last syllables Coke-iri
Deku = I alternate between hard and soft ee, Dee-koo or Dek-oo but I settle on the latter
Mido = My-doh or Mee-doh but I figure it's My-doh
Bokoblin = I alternate between Boh-cob-lin and Boko-blin
Moblin with a hard Oh -blin but it's probably Mob (as in "lynch mob") -lin
Girahim = Gear-ra-him but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 'heem'
Kakariko = Kak-ah-ree-koh because Ka-ka-riko sounds like a poop joke :P
Sheikah = Sheek-ah or She-kah but I've always put an emphasis on the I, She-ik-ah
Darunia = Dah-Roon-ee-ah or Dar-oon-ee-ah
Saria = I've pronounced this four different ways. The difference is a hard or soft I and whether or not the emphasis is on the R
Rauru = I don't know if it's Rah-oo-roo or Rawr-ooh, be interesting to know how others pronounce this

Din = Din :P
