What's happening forum? I hope you guys had a wonderful night as I was taking notes for not only my college classes but for anything related of the Pokémon world! :xd:
This morning at 1 AM, (yes I stayed up just to watch the Nintendo Direct) Nintendo has officially announced new features that will function in the upcoming titles, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y versions on the Nintendo 3DS! A lot of information has been revealed and even new Mega Evolutions! Click on the link below to watch the latest news in Pokemon!
Two new features have been announced for Pokémon X and Y version. These two included the Pokémon Bank and the Poké Transporter! The Pokémon Bank will be a paid service for customers (the fans) to give access to store up to 3,000 Pokémon from the previous generation games, which include Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 versions. Pokémon Bank will allow players to not only store up to 3,000 Pokémon in 100 boxes in the internet, but you can also trade via the Pokémon Bank. Pokémon Bank will also be able to prevent cheated Pokémon from being able to be transferred into the Bank. The Poké Transporter is the other feature that goes hand in hand with Pokémon Bank. This feature will basically transfer your Pokémon from the Gen V games and send your Pokémon into the Pokémon Bank and store them on the internet. This feature also works with multiple copies of any Gen V game. When you pay the yearly cost, the player will be given a free special download for the Poké Transporter app on the Nintendo 3DS! The Pokémon Bank will have a yearly cost of roughly 500 Yen, which is about $5 in U.S. currency.
During the video, it was confirmed that for the first time in Pokémon history, this will be the very first time that your regional starters Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie will not be given to by Professor Sycamore, but by one of your friends instead. The Pokémon that Professor Sycamore will give you will be a choice from the original three Kanto Pokémon starters! You can choose between either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle to join you on your new Pokémon adventure. This means that each player not gets to have Chespin, Fenniken, or Froakie on their team, but also Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle as well! Since we are talking about the Kanto starters right now, it is also worth mentioning that Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise will be given the Mega Evolution treatment as well! MegaVenusaur will have the Ability Thick Fat, MegaCharizard will have the Ability Drought, and MegaBlastoise will have the Ability Mega Launcher, which boost up its moves! Speaking about Mega Evolution, it is also confirmed that the player will have to obtain an item called the Mega Ring, which holds a special stone known as the Key Stone. The trainer's Key Stone will resonate with the Mega Stone held by his or her Pokémon.
Finally, Nintendo has confirmed that the Special Pokémon XY 3DS will come in both Red and Blue colors and will be released on September 27th, 2013 for North America and Europe.
More information will be updated on a daily basis!
