Pokemon Button Holding Myth - Is It True?

I have some Button tricks THAT WORK for confusion. If you press b twice when your Pokemon is confused and It won't hurt it self! and if you press random buttons... the opponent hit it self!

I hate to say this but it is common knowledge. The pokemon series has NO button combinations for anything whether it be for 100% catch rates or confusion or anything else. It has NEVER had button combinations in it and it NEVER will.

I've never had any luck with these tricks. It would make sense that some button combos raise the catch rate by 5% or so but the rumors about raising your catch rate by 25-50% is ridiculous. If those existed, rom hackers would have found them by now. I am still not sure if they exist or not
