If a mafia roleblocker roleblocks Fig and I die, then that means we know there's exactly a mafia roleblocker or Fig is lying. Approximately same for if you're blocked.
Roles that can mess with this:
2. Ninja (has strongarm ability)
3. 3p roleblocker
4. the plant (strongarm ability)
5. the Grim Reaper (roleblock ability)
6. Hellhound (strongarm ability)
7. Sadist (roleblock ability)
There is NOT A SINGLE GAME listed in Pen's list of roles that didn't have at least one of these roles, many have two of these in the same game. You can bet your bottom dollar this game has at least one of these roles. We will NOT know which of these roles messed with the plan if we were to enact the plan.
Kinda sucks that it happened but I don't think "it might not work as planned" is valid justification to throw out the whole thing when at least we'd still get info either way, it's still way better to have the Mafia spend resources on blocking this plan then it would be to let them roleblock, say, a Sheriff, and the upside is we're guaranteed to not accidentally boost a Mafia unless they have some kinda Transporter, which would be REALLY good to know!
"It might not work as planned" might as well be "It will only work as planned if mafia wants it to". They could have a strongarm and a roleblocker, in which case they can just kill you and still have a chance of roleblocking a cop. Also, we aren't "guaranteed" to not accidentally boost a mafia. You aren't clear, and you should step back and try to view the game from a perspective where you don't have TMI on yourself when trying to devise a plan if you want other people to agree to it.
You've made your case, and you continually pushing it while not responding to the fact that it is easily preventable, or the fact that mafia knowing town's plans gives them an edge because they can plan around it, is starting to get annoying and IMO is hurting threadhealth. If Killjoy and Fig decide your plan has merit, they will act accordingly.
