I remember these being reported on by Nintendo Life months ago.

Some of them are decent, but some give a good example of why Nintendo retain their aesthetic over multiple games.

I remember seeing these at the start of last year. Some are better than others. Finding a way to draw something in your own style is one of the harder things to do as an artist, especially if the source material is a cartoon with certain shapes. Preserving their "look" while working them into a personalize style isn't something that can always be done on a first try. I think he translated them quite well considering. The characters with a more humanoid build look especially good but required less improvision.
