all you have to do is spin attack when he is open rotate the controlstick and he will stay open but if u stop he will move
i actually found this out cuz i tried to fight him as recklessly as possible

bombs and arrows will work to just throw them like crazy

Thats just it. While its useful, its harder to rotate then hold

for a bit.

I always back into a corner and plant a bomb behind him. Once it blows, he's gone.

Jump attacks. Jump attacks everywhere.

Or just the bow, either one works wonders and he dies before can even summon his stupid bugs.

I agree with Garo completely, that's how I've always done it anyway. I just use as many arrows as I can on him to deplete health, then I go collect some more arrows that have been scattered about in the room. Once I no longer have any way left to obtain arrows, I begin jump attacking. While I'm sure that the rotating thing you said DOES probably make it easier to win, it makes it harder on the player. I always hated doing spin attacks that way, and thus, I never use it for anything. If I need to spin attack, I'll hold down B for a moment.
