What I mean is that they were ashamed of not having an octorok in TP, so they decided to make a backup when ST came out.

@HoT:
By they way, octoroks in OoT, MM, and TWW.

(They look exacly the same in OoT and MM.)
Probable, but I never heard mention of it before. I never really cared, Octoroks were my least favorite enemy at the time OoT was out. Spitting rocks at you = not cool. At least on my standards, it isn't cool.

Ditto, I always hated octoroks. I never liked them until I saw the MC-syle octorok. All the other octoroks are ugly. Go land octoroks! (And the octorok like deku in ZSS!)

Actually, those octoroks also existed in the original LoZ.

You mean this enemy.

Yeah, I think your theory is most likely right, even in ST, Mini Freezards are actually Octoroks in disguise.

So that same rule can apply with TP Mini Freezards.

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal about it is. The Toadpoli were close enough to Octoroks, though they may not be the same. But it's kind of a bummer that there are no"perfect attendance Zelda monsters. But just because you don't fight them in the game doesn't necessarily mean that they don't exist.

ST came out after TP, besides they're different kinds of mini freezards. And yes there are octoroks in WW, OoT and MM, they're just pink/purple water octoroks instead of land octoroks.
