Half of the game is turned into a Sci-Fi game
The only way to repair your shield after it's completely broken is by defeating a enemy that can only be killed by your shield.
After being killed you have to start the game from the start.

Anyway, Skyward Sword Link kinda is a cartoon protagonist. Also, cartoons tend to have cartoon protagonists. So you're saying all cartoons have childish plots? Are you also including WW, which as far as I've heard had a great plot?
