Nintendo Nintendo Switch 2 - First Look Trailer

Echolight

❤️ love yourself ❤️
The highlight around the control sticks is cool, but I'm a bit concerned with the how the joycons attach to the console, I prefer the sliding to this. The small connector in the middle looks a bit precarious. I also wonder about how comfortable the joycon grip will be since the sides are behind the controller instead of alongside it for the original switch.
The featured game isn't too groundbreaking because it looks so similar to MK8, but hopefully they're reveal more unique features for that game specifically in the future.

Bigger screen is a plus though, and thank goodness for a kickstand that actually looks reliable, the original's is SO small and has fallen out when I try to open it TOO many times.

Looks good got a bigger screen I like the grey with the red and blue bits. Just worried that it didn’t really look like a well thought out trailer so I’m hoping the next trailer has real people in but Mario Kart 9 looks ok.

The new Joycons look a lot better than the current ones. The Switch 2 looks very premium. I'm still surprised the Switch 2 is the name Nintendo went with. DK appears to have his Mario movie look in the next Mario Kart.

Looks exactly how I expected it to look. Hoping it will have a pretty decent launch lineup but i probably will wait a bit to buy it regardless. I would like to know more about what the specs are like. Hopefully it’s comparable to a steam deck because that would be a huge game changer.

I feel like they weren’t ready to put this trailer out yet seeing as the direct they have for it is not until April. Leakers just have to ruin everything.

Perhaps you guys have no idea how many times I've replaced the joy-con shells. Especially with younger kids, these joy-cons get absolutely destroyed. I'm hoping that if a switch 2 drops, The Joy cons will be more likely to pop off without damaging the shell.

Well, they are magnetic, rather than clip ins. So I imagine they will break less

I'm kind of surprised that's all the wanted to show for the next two-ish months? Kind of feels like they just wanted to run the bandaid off and get the whole reveal thing over with by putting out the bare minimum.

Doubt I'm gonna have money for this anytime so it's cool with me tho

Well, I suppose I don't know what I was expecting. It's a switch... but bigger.

I think I like the new joycon attachment system. They also don't look as cheaply made, which is nice.

I just hope that it is able to compete in terms of power with the PS5, but I'm not holding my breath on that front. Hopefully the S2 has a decent launch lineup to make it worth buying since it will likely come with a hefty price tag. Mario Kart 9 is probably a given, but I'm not sure if it'll be a system seller for me when MK8D is still so great.

I eagerly look forward to the dedicated Switch 2 direct that should be coming in a few months, it'll be nice to have more information on software.

Nintendo has released the first look trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 - what are your thoughts?

There will also be an April 2nd Nintendo Direct focusing on the Switch 2 and in-person events around the world to try it out in person.

Nothing about it jumps out to me as super groundbreaking or exciting but perhaps later with more details I'll warm up to it.

Getting Wii U vibes, like not the next great leap forward, a interim system. But we shall see.
