Nintendo have released a tweet showing different Zora helmet designs. They suggest that the helmets were used for raids in the past and that they could have been once on bad terms with the Goron tribe.
This does not surprise me. The civil war would have pitted everyone against each other and there are often racial tensions in Hyrule. However it is good that Nintendo releases little bits of info like this. The fans like things to speculate on. I know I do.
