Hey, now, don't be hatin' on Magnemite and Magneton. Those guys are awesome.

Oh, and the difference between Gen I and Gen IV/V is that the former has a significantly smaller amount of plain-looking Pokemon, and it honestly doesn't have any that look outright dumb, whereas you look at Pokemon like Vanillite, the new Mewtwo/Mewthree, and, yes, Aurotto, their designs are just ridiculously stupid.

I'll say Gen I was no Gen III, but it's better than IV and V. And II, for that matter.

To be honest, I myself am not the biggest fan of the tree, or rather, the artist depictions of the tree thus far. However, I wouldn't go calling it dumb just yet, especially given the fact (for the third time) that the official artwork is yet to be revealed.

Also, Magnemite, Magneton, and even Magnezone are poop-tier hideous and nonsensical in design and concept. Sorry, but that is my opinion. :j

Now then... How and why do people use this logic whenever a new Pokemon is released? What's worse is when they use said logic to judge an entire generation. I mean, why not a tree? How many different types of plants have there been since Gen I? Like 20 plus-ish? Keep in mind that there have been many arboreal Pokemon since then as well.

If you think that this generation's Pokemon look bad, then perhaps you should have moved on ages ago, as there have always been "silly" designs that people hate, and there always will be. It's okay if you've grown up; moving on is all a part of that process--shows that you've matured into a fine young hume. :J

This. What I will never understand is why in every new generation. fans will say "I don't like the Pokemon design because it's a ______" or "Why did this Pokemon look like this?" and whatnot. I agree with Wolf Sage, Wynaut a tree? I always welcome new designs and sure the design my not always be the best there is, but it is original. I would love see to see more Pokemon designs that I have never seen than just see GameFreak recycle a Pokemon concept and just edit it out. I mean, I'm sure they somehow did that over the years, but hey, it look darn right good in the final stage of production.

Oh, Magnezone is definitely ********. Magneton is the ****, though.

By the way, now that Oorotto has finally been unveiled, I gotta say, I like his final design. It's not perfect, but it's much better than what's shown in the OP. Plus, it gives the vibe of being a Grass/Ghost-type Pokemon, which would be ****ing awesome.

Edit: Unless it's Sudowoodo's evolvement, in which case it'd potentially be a Rock/Ghost-type. Potentially.

Well, I'm glad that you enjoy the final version of Oorotto! I know I did! As for the Typing of the Pokemon, I could see as Grass/Ghost. Then again, it could be possible that it the Pokemon could evolve from Sudowoodo, so it could also be Rock/Ghost. Either way, I'm still stoked for the Pokemon itself! :3

Could also just be Rock, which is why I said "potentially".

I doubt it isn't part Ghost, though. That design gives off some SERIOUS Ghost-type vibes. Either that or Dark.
