I'm having trouble remembering them all, but I think it's like this:

1994: The Lion King

1996: The Hunchback of Notre Dame

1997: Star Wars Special Edition
Return of the Jedi Special Edition

1999: Star Wars Episode I

2001: The Fellowship of the Ring

2002: The Two Towers
Star Wars Episode 2
Die Another Day
Minority Report

2003: The Return of the King
X2

2004: The Passion of the Christ

2005: Star Wars Episode III
The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
King Kong

2008: The Dark Knight
Prince Caspian

So yeah, some of those could be wrong and I may have left some out, but I'm fairly sure that's a comprehensive list. I've stopped caring about seeing movies on their release day, though I'll probably see parts 2 and 3 of The Hobbit on release anyway.

I can't believe I saw all the Star Wars prequels in theaters. I'm such a sucker for that series. I'm glad I got to see all of the LotR films on release, though.

The Hobbit

was a stellar movie that I am 100% glad to see on release day. Didn't like the 48FPS BUT IT WAS STILL FANTASTIC.

I don't believe I've seen any movie on launch day. Though, I did dream about seeing Star Wars Episode 3 on launch day; does that count?

Yep I saw RotK on the release day and also Narnia LWW on the day of release
