Movie Genres of Which You'd Like to See a Resurgence

We all have out favourite genres in the world of movies but Hollywood goes through fits and starts with what is popular and what isn't. Back in the day through the 1900s we had quite a few waves of films liek the surrealist movement of the 1920s and the Noir wave of the 1940s, we even had a small western wave in the mid 00s with film like The Proposition, 3:10 To Yuma remake and The Assassination of Jesse James.

But with all the genres of movies out there which would you like to see come back and set the world on fire for a few years?
Would you like the horror genre to take over cinema with n iron grib for a while, perhaps more sci-fi or documentaries... which would you like to see come back?

Sci-fi. Real sci-fi. Space operas. Like Star Wars. Original trilogy if you insist on it. And the older Star Trek movies, not like the new one, though I still liked that one. Sci-fi has been totally beaten down by the mainstream media in the last few years. The only way a sci-fi movie can be accepted by the public these days is by sneaking in as another genre. It can't be labeled as a straight sci-fi, or it'll instantly be branded terrible just because of its genre.
