Hey, since this thread is working out so well, why don't I post some more of my favorites.
The Junkyard from the Spongebob Movie Video Game. This level gave me hell. Sure it's easy nowadays, but back then I was just a little kid. It was a very long level, and I've always been a 100%-er, which means that not only did I have to get through it, I had to get all the tokens and treasures. It was frustrating back then, but now it brings back memories of waking up early in the morning and rushing over to my PS2 to keep trying the level all day. That floating block challenge was HARD.

I got Kingdom Hearts only a few months after it came out. I thought I wouldn't like it, but it turned out to become and stay my favorite game for a long time. I would spend a lot of time in Wonderland because I loved discovering the secrets. And the enemies were easier.

Gran Turismo 3. Still my favorite racing game. My friend and I played that game literally every day. *Sigh*, what a good game.

I got Animal Crossing City Folk the winter it came out. I thought I wouldn't like it, but it turned out to be really fun. For some reason, nothing brings back the memories of those winter days like Nook's Cranny. Maybe it's because I spent a lot of time there buying Christmas decorations for my closet-sized house.

And finally, Spirit Tracks- my first Zelda game. Again, I got it around Christmas, so all the music from it brings back really good memories.

If we're talking nostalgia from when I was like 4 then any music themes from the Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow games. Anytime I here that it makes me want to play Pokemon all over again but I don't really like the 4th and 5th generation Pokemon that much. I usually just sit down and watch the first and second Pokemon movies from time to time because that really brings back memories and sometimes even tears.

If we're talking like middle childhood (8-12) then I say any music from Wind Waker. That was, legit, my life when I was a kid. I've beaten that game so many times and a lot of those wins come from my childhood.

The most nostalgic video game music? I have a lot of video game music that reminds me of my childhood, some of the first games I ever played on any handheld/console.

Oh Donkey Kong Country 2. <3 ; w; I LOVE THEE. I could post the entire soundtrack to this game and it still wouldn't be enough to express my love for this games music. K Rools Theme is still my all time favorite. If it is the only thing you listen to from my list make it that one. :yes:

This song was driving me nuts for like a YEAR because I couldn't remember what game it was from. Funny enough what I remembered of it was so off, but somehow when I was playing SMRPG on virtual console I recognized it. xD

IDK I've never stopped playing Pokemon, so I haven't actually had a chance to ever get nostalgic about it... xD But if there is ANY track in Pokemon that sums up the experience of the late 90's for me, it's this one.

Basically any Pokemon music from Gen I and II, especially Gen I. The most nostalgic ones are probably Gen I's battle music, surfing theme (I've heard it so much because of my constant use of the Missingno multiplying item glitch), Pokemon Pinball music, and the Pokemon Center theme. Another really nostalgic one is the theme from the Egyptian world in the original Super Mario Land for the Gameboy-- It's my first memory of playing any video game.

I didn't get into the Zelda series until I was about 13, but the LoZ theme is a nostalgic tune that I heard a lot when playing SSBM with my friends. I had a friend who always played as Link, and we played Hyrule Temple and Great Bay a lot, so I picked it up from there. A lot of other themes from that game are special, like Kongo Jungle and the music for some Adventure Mode worlds

This may sound cliche (for lack of a better word), but Zelda's Lullaby, Ocarina of Time. 7 year-old kid, first Zelda game, beautiful song... nostalgia out the wazoo.

Big ones for me are any songs from Super Metroid, SMW2: Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2, Killer Instinct, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, StarFox 64, Gauntlet Legends, Mischief Makers... There's probably others, but those would be major ones. And no, none of them are Zelda games. I got into Zelda deeper into my time with the N64, and only played ALttP afterward. I didn't even become a MAJOR Zelda fan until about three years ago, roughly when I joined ZD. Also no Mega Man songs come to mind, except one from X3. :/ OH. Descent. And Firefight (I think that was the name; can't find the music online at all.) Descent might be the first example of me enjoying the music mostly through soundtrack and not the game itself, though I did play it.
