Oracle Of Seasons/Ages Mirror Shield Problems in OoA

I am currently playing a linked game of Oracle of Ages and when I put in the the mirror shield code when I realized that I didn't have the iron shield yet, and still had the wooden one. It gave me the iron shield and I tried to re-enter the code to get the mirrors shield, but it wouldn't give it to me. Is there any way for me to still get it?

I just check some online missable item lists and it doesn't mention the Mirror Shield. So, why can't I get it, is there some secret?

PLEASE HELP!
