Overview:
The Dream Mod introduces a revamped version of the Dream Dimension which was scrapped a while ago by Mojang. This mod adds the “Dream World” and “Nightmare Dimension”. Several vanilla block also have a “Dreamy” and “Nightmare” counterpart which generate in their respective Dimensions. A few new items and blocks are added as well.
To enter the Dream World, all you have to do is right click a bed at night and a GUI will pop up; it will have the options “Sleep” or “Dream”. Obviously, to get to the Dream World, you click “Dream”. Additionally, to get to the Nightmare Dimension, place a Bed of Nails while in the Dream World and right click it.
When you enter the Dream World (or the Nightmare Dimension), you will start of nothing, none of your items from the Overworld (or Dream World if going to the Nightmare Dimension) will transfer over; and vise-versa. The Dream World has sort of a lightish haze and blocks look lighter as well; but in the Nightmare Dimension, it’s quite the opposite, there is a dark haze and blocks seem to look darker as well. No trees will grow in the Nightmare Dimension either. Another thing added in the Nightmare Dimension is Lava Rain.
There is no night cycle in the Dream World (and there is no day cycle in the Nightmare Dimension), but after ten minutes (the length of a day and/or night) you will be automatically transferred back to the Overworld (or Dream World if in the Nightmare Dimension). And when you go back, none of your items will be transferred back to the Overworld (or Dream World if in the Nightmare Dimension).
Some new items and blocks added in the Dream Mod include:
Dream Rod, Nightmare Rod, Lantern of Joy, Lantern of Fear, Bed of Nails, Bedtime Story, Dreamy Ore, Dream Rock, Dreamy Tools and Armour, Block of Dreams, Nightmare Rock, Nightmare Tools and Armour, Block of Horror, Dreamy Liquid, Nightmare Liquid, Magic Rock, Magic Tools and Armour, Magic Block, Dreamy Chest, Chest of Horror, Mixed Emotions Chest, Lucid Beast Spawner, Night Terror Spawner.
Additionally, there are also three new mobs (Hellish Creeper, Angel, Demon), two bosses (Lucid Beast and Night Terror), and two new generated structures (City of Gold and Wicked Burg). And obviously the two dimensions, Dream World and Nightmare Dimension.

Items
Dream Rod - The Dream Rod is used to transport back to the Overworld from the Dream World while keeping your items (just right-click nothing to be transported instantly); has ten uses. Can also be used to keep your items when you go to the overworld from the Dream World (just right-click the bed with this item in your hand) Can also be used one time on a source block (water) to turn it into Dreamy Liquid (right click).
Nightmare Rod - Same as Dream Rod, but used to go between the Nightmare Dimension and Dream World. Can also be used one time on a source block (lava) to turn it into Nightmare Liquid (right click).
Lantern of Joy - Lights up an entire enclosed are to the highest light level; does not work if in an area that is not completely enclosed. Acts like sunlight; some mobs will burn if in the area.
Lantern of Fear - Guarantees mobs will spawn within a 20x20 radius of the Lantern, regardless of light level. No mobs will burn while in the radius of the Lantern.
Bed of Nails – Place in Dream World and sleep in it to go to the Nightmare Dimension for the remainng time you had left in the dream world
Bedtime Story – Right-click a bed with this in your hand to go to the Dream World and stay for 20 minutes rather than ten; does not work on Bed of Nails.
Dreamy Ore – When mined, you get Dream Rock. Only spawns in Dream World; 2x as rare as Emerald Ore.
Dream Rock – Used to create Dreamy tools, weapons and armour; also used to make Block of Dreams.
Dreamy Tools and Armour – Has 2x as much durability as diamond; tools work as fast as stone.
Block of Dreams – Decoration.
Nightmare Rock – Drops from Hellish Creeper, Wither Skeleton, and Demon; Used to make Nightmare tools, weapons, and amour; also used to make Block of Fear.
Nightmare Tools and Armour – Same as Dreamy Tools and Armour, but tools work as fast as Iron.
Block of Horror – Decoration.
Dreamy Liquid – When drank, it instantly transports you to the Dream World, regardless of time of day or dimension. A pool of Dreamy Liquid will automatically generate in the End, but sometimes, very rarely, two pools will generate.
Nightmare Liquid – Same as Dreamy Liquid, but to the Nightmare Dimension. Can be found in small pools very rarely in the Nether.
Magic Rock - Surround one Dream Rock with eight Nightmare Rock to get; Used to craft new tools, weapons, and armour. Can also craft Magic Block with it.
Magical Tools and Armour - Same as Dreamy and Nightmare Tools, Weapons, and Armour, but 3x as durable as diamond, and the tools and weapons mine as fast as diamond. Armour will also make you invulnerable to potion effects (when you have full armour) (even the good ones). Crafted with Magic Rock.
Magic Block - Used to craft the Dream-Like Beast Spawner and the Night Terror Spawner; Also the Lanterns.
Dreamy Chest - Used to connect the Dream World with the overworld with a chest. Works like an Ender Chest, but strictly between the overworld and the Dream World.
Chest of Horror - Same as Dreamy Chest, but between the Nightmare Dimension and the overworld.
Emotional Chest - Same as the last two, but between the Nightmare Dimension and the Dream World
Lucid Beast Spawner - Used the spawn the Lucid Beast
Night Terror Spawner - Used to spawn the Night Terror.
Dream Catcher - If in your inventory while fighting the Night Terror, it will deal only half damage and you will not be affected by the slowness effect you get when attacked.
Mobs
Hellish Creeper – Found in the Nightmare Dimension. Can spawn with a chestplate or a helmet. Has a chance to drop Nightmare Rock (0-2 on death). Explosion is 3x that of a normal Creeper and has no time between when it hisses and when it explodes. Has 50 health (25 hearts) and cannot be killed with anything less than a diamond sword.
Angel – Found in the Dream World. Can wear Dreamy Armour and drops feathers (0-3 on death). Is equivalent of a Villager from the Overworld; can trade items for Dream Rock. Has 10 health (5 hearts). Live in Cities of Gold.
Demon - Same as Angels, but cannot trade and wear Nightmare Armour. Are found in Nightmare Dimension and Nether. Live in Wicked Burgs. Fight back if you enter their Wicked Burg; Deal 2 hearts fo damage per hit and have 20 health (10 hearts). Drop Magic Rock (0-2 on death) and Nightmare Rock (0-3 on death).
Bosses
Lucid Beast - New boss added in the Dream World; can be tamed with Magic Rocks. If provoked, it will attack and deal 2.5 hearts of damage.
Night Terror - New boss added in the Nightmare Dimension. Will deal 3.5 hearts of damage and give you slowness I effect when it attacks you.
Structures
City of Gold – Found in Dream World; generates at same rate as regular villages (equivalent of villages).
Wicked Burg - Found in Nether and Nightmare Dimension; Spawn at same rate as villages (equivalent of villages). When near a Wicked Burg (within a 75 block radius), you have a weakness I effect.
Other
Lava Rain – Occurs at same rate as thunder storms; happens in the Nether and the Nightmare Dimension. When it begins, you loose 2 hearts instantly and while it’s raining, you have a slowness II effect.
