Nintendo Metroid Prime 4 Development Restarted from Scratch, Retro Studios Now Developer

Kensuke Tanabe, the producer, will now be working alongside Retro Studios to produce Metroid Prime 4. In this update from Nintendo, the game apparently has not met internal development standards and development is being restarted. I think this is good news for people who want a more faithful Metroid Prime sequel.

What are your thoughts on this news?

I think ninty hasn't the slightest semblance of a stray clue what "internal standards" are or what a Metroid game even *IS*.

They probably restarted development because they suddenly realized that they forgot to add the space suit fashion meta game that has players dressing up Samus in collectable outfits to show off to the galactic council for Stellar Style Points that players can redeem for alien smoothies that grant temporary stat boosts or the contemporary interpretive dance sections that has Samus besting space pirates in Dance Dance Revolution minigames.

No, actually it's more likely that they just suddenly noticed the glaring lack of 1001 collectable sentient space turnips that they realized the levels they had made had no room for. How COULD They have FORGOTTEN about the collect-a-thon????

In all honestly, they probably suddenly remembered that they can't make a game with modern graphics for @#$% so they're redoing it all in toon-style. :fpalm:

GET READY FOR THE NEW SSB CHALLENGER... CHIBI-HEADED TOON SAMUS!
