Now that I have the master sword, do I need to do the trail of the sword?

You don't need to, but if you have the DLC there's no reason not to.
If you do do it the reward is the Master Sword always glowing blue and always doing 60 damage.
The Trial of the Sword is not necessary, but it increases the attack power of the sword from 30 to 60 and it greatly increases the amount of hits you get out of the sword from around 40 to 200.

It's like the Korok Seeds you don't necessarily 'need' to do it, but it can be useful in the long run. It all comes down to weather you want to do it or not.

one more question, can the master sword break?
Not permanently. But after a certain amount of hits, it will "lose power" and not be able to be used for 10 minutes. But after that period of time, it will reappear in your inventory to use again.

Not in the terms of being completely destroyed like other weapons that are found throughout Hyrule. But, like Twilitfalchion said, it will lose power after 30 strikes(before completing the "Trial of the Sword") and 60 hits(after the "Trial of the Sword")

If I was to turn my hearts back in and get my stamina back will I lose the master sword?
No, once you have the Master Sword, it is permanently in your inventory whether or not you trade for stamina.

I think people misunderstand about the Upgraded Master sword.
The fully powered Master sword's durability is the same (40).It just damages by decimals.
