Make Your Own Dungeon

Hey guys, just a question. If you can make your own Legend of Zelda dungeon, what would it be based on, what would the enemies be and what would the boss be? Also, try to give a brief description on your dungeon. Here are mine.

I would make a dungeon based off on a Junior High/High School. The enemies would be Keese, Poe, Lizalfo and some more. The boss would be the principal.

The dungeon, as you already know, would be based on a Junior High/ High school. The puzzle theme would be to go through each classroom to defeat enemies and get keys leading to other classrooms on different floors, where as each key you find work for different doors not on all doors like in every other dungeon. In this dungeon, you can also challenge a mini boss in the gymnasium, lunch room, boiler room and the janitor's room. Also, in one room, you have to use a bomb to blow up a teacher's desk and a crack in a floor to go into some art room. And in that art room, you shoot down a bucket with brown paint from the ceiling onto the floor where you then go find an empty bottle in the room. Then you scoop up the brown paint, pour the paint on an unfinished picture of a treasure chest, and then a chest appears with a hookshot in it. And with the hookshot, you can latch on to pieces of wood reaching other places in classrooms and also reach the air vents where you can crawl around in. And when you get the boss key, you can go into the Principal's office to get detention... I mean challenge the Principal where you latch on to wooden #2 pencils with the Hookshot and swing them into the Principal where you can then go over to him/her and deal damage with your sword. So how's that for a dungeon?

So guys, leave us your ideas of a Legend of Zelda dungeon you would make.

Let's get a standard formula going here.

NAME: Fires of Industry
TROPE [theme]: Fire (duh)/Metal
DESCRIPTION: The dungeon is organized as a foundry/smithy. You go through the workshop that it is (as it is Ganon's army's weapon-factory), defeating Iron Knuckles, Darknuts, Lizalfos, Bokoblins, Moblins, and fire enemies also. You basically have to completely shut the place down to get to the boss, thus weakening Ganon's army in terms of supplies greatly.
MINIBOSS: Hammer Iron Knuckle - An Iron Knuckle with a hammer instead of an axe, fought the same way, but it takes more hits to kill, and it does more damage. After defeat, it leaves behind the...
ITEM INSIDE: Hammer
BOSS: Head Smith of Ganon's Army, Megaton
DESCRIPTION: Megaton is a huge, muscular tank of a boss with a giant hammer (he is a smith, after all), but he is rather slow, and his weakness is to really loud noises. Luckily there are anvils all over the room, and you have to smash them with the hammer over and over until Megaton starts clamping his hands over his ears. This will distract him enough to hammer on the metal protective plates on him. Each hit will break off portions of his armor, and once you've gotten it all off, he will get faster, and more vulnerable to blade attacks. However, he will also clear away the anvils, forcing you to fight him like King Bulbin in a normal duel. He will no longer be stunned by attacks, meaning this battle will be like A Link to the Past bosses, where they kept moving, even when you were laying the smackdown on them.

The Temple of Doom

Basically I think a rip-off of the palace from the 2nd Indiana Jones movie could make for an interesting Zelda dungeon. Most of the puzzle solving would come from navigating the massive labyrinth. The dungeon items would be a tunic that looks like Indiana Jone's clothing and fedora as well as a whip. The miniboss would be the big guy in the mines, and the main boss would be the sorceror guy. Also the main themes of the dungeon would be India and Fire. Finally there would be slaves to free like in the movie but they could be gorons instead of hylians like in the Fire Temple from OOT. Wait a second... did the developers of OOT borrow the idea of having slaves in a fire themed temple from the Indiana Jones movie?

NAME: Rainbow Ice-Cream World
TROPE [theme]: Unicorns
DESCRIPTION: This dungeon can be found somewhere over the rainbow. Link faces lolly-pop puking frogs, Awsome-nuts and many more enemies. Once you find the pot of gold and defeat the leprechauns, you reach the boss. While this epic battle takes place, Link gets sprinkled with sprinkles and flowers.
ITEM INSIDE: Lethal cupcake
BOSS: Angry Smiley Face
DESCRIPTION: I don't really have an description of the Boss. All I know he's quite angry.

NAME: Nightmare Castle
TROPE (Theme): Darkness
DESCRIPTION: A castle on a floating rock with a very Gothic, Tim Burton-esque design aesthetic, with monstrous painting and statues, some with eyes that move. The dungeon is only accessible at night in Castle Town's alleyways. Home to much darker monsters, from ReDeads to Armored Stalfos, meant to feed off people's fears. Sounds of people you encounter on your quest, even Zelda herself, are heard screaming, meant to give a chilling environment more like in a survival horror. People's minds are trapped in here and you need to destroy orbs that contain them to set them free from eternal slumber in fear.
MINI-BOSS: Gomess, much like Majora's Mask.
ITEM INSIDE: Sun Rod, a rod that absorbs sunlight and uses it as a weapon. Most effective at night but recharges during the day. Dark enemies wither away from it while others are simply stunned for a moment.
BOSS: Fear feasting Demon, Iculu
A large Octopus with spikes on its head that feeds on fear. It's first form is that of a floating octopus that gets easily taken down from the Sun Rod.
The second form is when it sprouts a devil body, becoming very similar to Cthulhu in terms of structure, but wields a crooked blade. Only by knocking the blade out, hitting him with the Sun Rod's light and striking his head will he truly be defeated.

Mine would be based on an evil castle and the enemies would be: Lizafos (Ocarina of Time type), Iron Knuckle (Ocarina of time or Majoras Mask type), Stalfos (Ocarina of Time type), Dinofos (Ocarina of Time type), Beamos (Ocarina of Time or Majoras Mask type), Redeads (Ocarina of Time type), and Armos (Ocarina of Time or Majoras Mask type). The mini-boos would be Dark Link (Ocarina of Time version), and the boos would be Ganondorf (Ocarina of Time type). The dungeon would be 3D. :)

NAME: The Waterfall Fountain
THEME: Water because I love water dungeons. Great Bay Temple, Lakebed Temple, Water Temple, and Ancient Cistern are all in my top Zelda dungeons of all time.
DESCRIPTION: Basically the dungeon is at the top of a waterfall which is blocking the entrance leading to the Triforce. There are four faucets that pump water into the dungeon and all that water flows into a container where the density becomes greater than the density of mercury and it makes the waterfall impenetrable. Link has to go through the fountain and shut down all four pumps so he can enter the container and close it down, then he has to turn 2 small pumps on to make sure that there is enough water at the bottom of the waterfall for Link to swim in.
MINI-BOSS: An enormous blue knight-like enemy who uses the dense form of water as a shield and you have to shoot his shield with an ice arrow, freezing it and him, then you have to shatter his armor with a hammer.
ITEM: Mirror Shield (Which can be used to solve puzzles and blind Dark Link who will then not be able to mirror you for a short time leaving him vulnerable)
BOSS: Wielder of the Triforce: Dark Link

-Phase 1: You walk into the boss room and see nothing. You shoot a Light Arrow in a random direction. The room lights up, and the spirit is awakened. The spirit then launches magical attacks at you which cannot be deflected by a shield. You have to use the Hookshot to stun it, then you shoot it with a light arrow. Repeat.
-Phase 2: The spirit doubles its size and damage. It also attacks twice as often and is stunned for half the amount of time that it was in phase 1. You attack it in the same formula until it's dead.

NAME: Sky-Ice Falls
THEME: Water, Ice, Wind
DESCRIPTION: A towering system consisting of ice caverns located in front of an icy mountain with its entrance at the end of a frozen spring. It was once a great water source for the land of Hyrule, but ever since a grand blizzard struck, the place is now in ruins and is currently frozen. Link needs to solve and figure out puzzles which mostly have to do with various illusions of ice to melt the frozen and return life to water.
ENEMIES: Various enemies include Chilfos, Ice ChuChu, Ice Keese, Mini Freezard, Stalfos, Blue ChuChu, Keese, Propelloctorok (Sea Octorok), Octorok, Paraocto (Sky Octorok), and White Wolfos
MINI-BOSS: Freezalfos - A much stronger variant of the Chilfos enemy. Fighting this knight of ice is similar to fighting a Stalmaster in Skyward Sword, only this time, it has 6 arms instead of 4.
ITEM: Polar Rod - A rod that controls the elements of water, ice, and wind at the same time. Using this helps getting across gaps of deadly ice water or a pit of freezing wind.
BOSS: Monstrous Blizzard Creator: Freezard - This giant is the reason why Sky-Ice Falls is in this ruined state. You fight this ice monster at the top of the icy mountain. Using the Polar Rod will help Link find its weak-point. It is also important to avoid most of its attacks as one hit equals the loss of TWO hearts.

NAME: Royal Catacombs
THEME: Darkness
DESCRIPTION: The tunnels and tombs underneath Hyrule Castle and Castle town that are possessed with reanimated dead and darkness.
ENEMIES: Redeads, Keese, ghini, Gibdos, stalfos, plus enemies unique to this area such as shades (animated shadows, humanoid), shadow zols and gels, rats, mutts, and snakes
MINI-BOSS: Royal guard- Four soldiers that used to guard the King, before they died and were possessed by darkness. One has four arms, one has a sword for an arm, one has no chest, and one has no head. They attack like regular enemies, but must be treated differently. The one with four arms must have each of its arms severed at once or they will grow back (like a Hydra). The one with a sword arm is just really strong and parries blows much smarter than most other enemies. The one with no chest can only be attacked on its head (wait for it to try to charge and whack it). The one with no head is only vulnerable in the area right above its waist. All four are able to teleport themselves (though they rarely do so) and are all invincible when they are in an area of the room that is completely dark (and thus you must light torches if you want to kill them easy) Once each has been defeated, it will fall on the ground and fade into the ground as a shadow. When they are all defeated the shadows will race towards the wall and go up to the top of the chamber to disappear
ITEM: Shadow Cape- Can either turn you into a shadow, make you invisible, or make you appear as something else. When you are a shadow, you can move at will along the wall or floor, but can't use any items, and can still be attacked by enemies if you get close enough. When invisible, you cannot move, but no one will notice you. When appearing as something else, you can blend in amongst others (such as in Castle Town), but certain enemies will see you from farther away and everybody will notice you.
BOSS: Primordial Shadow- Umbraeos
You walk into the boss chamber and see a giant gaping hole in the middle of the room. Walking closer, you see it begin to shrink into the center, and forms itself into an image of Dark Link. Dark Link does not mirror exactly your movements, but attacks without skill and does not block well. After a few hits, he collapses into an ooze that is extremely vulnerable but cannot be touched or you will fall through it and back to the middle of the chamber where you will hit the floor with a thud. After Dark Link has been oozed several times, he grabs your sword as you attack, absorbing it into himself and making him slightly bigger. You must reach into it with the grappling hook and spin to whip him into a wall and your sword will fall out. Then you will be able to attack him some and it will repeat. After several more hits, the ooze will drop its sword (which becomes a shadow in the ground) and move back into the middle of the room, where it forms a giant monster with a bulbous head and gaping mouth, two legs, and multiple long tails from its back. The tails are actually shadows and cannot be attacked with the sword. Umbraeos will attempt to eat you, and you will then fall from the ceiling, taking fall damage. You can't use the Shadow Cape because shadows are everywhereTo defeat him, you have to light all the torches in the room, casting on the ground. Equip the Shadow Cape and you can now grab Dark Link's sword and slash at Umbraeos's tails. Needless to say, the torches will go out and you'll be pulled back into When all the tails are cut off, Umbraeos will start randomly trying to run at you. Lead him at torches and soon he'll fall to the ground and dissapate.

Crystal Caverns

So on the outside it looks like a random cave with 50 ruppees in it, but once you enter, beautiful crystals line the walls and it's completely a full blown dungeon. The item you get here is the Hand Cannon, and the boss is Ice Giant, Aelous.

I've always been a fan of stealth-action games like Commandos (PC) and Tenchu (2 other jewels from 1998), so I'd love to see a dungeon where stealth is the key. Faced with unbeatable enemies (at first) Link must sneak by, crawl, tip toe, create diversions, hide in barrels WW-style, etc, in order to proceed further. Then if you really must kill the bad guys I guess the dungeon item could serve that purpose.

It's been done before, sort of, with OoT's Gerudo Fortress or PH's Temple of the Ocean King, but I'd like the concept to be used more. NOT for an entire Zelda game, obviously, just a dungeon.

Maybe they could make the stone mask from Majora's Mask the dungeon item, or rip off Harry Potter's invisibility cloak and have a tunic that makes you invisible. They'd have to make sure it's not overpowered though- maybe you're only invisible when you're not moving. Just some ideas, but I like the stealth idea. Something like the Forsaken Fortress in Wind Waker but much more involved, challenging, and requires you to actually fight.
