Is there a way to get your sword upgrade if you finish the Powder keg test and the race but it's already the night of the second day? :S
I know I can go back to Snowhead and beat the boss again, which I have done before going on to Goron Village, but won't I loose the powder keg and bottle of dust that I worked so hard to get?

Yes you will lose your items.

To get your sword upgraded you must first do over Snowhead Temple, (Beat the boss once, go back beat it again) then continue to on with getting the Keg once more, passing the test, and finally get the Gold Dust. (All in the First Day) Once you obtain the Gold Dust hurry along and get your sword sharpened at Mountain Smithy in Mountain Village,it will take a whole day so wait or play the Song of Time to go straight to the Second Day!

Now that this is done you can get your Razor Sword! *Du nun nun naah!* This Razor Sword is stronger than that old Kokiri Sword, the down side is that after 100 uses it returns to it's old Kokiri Sword. Almost there! Go back inside and ask for another sharpen. The little man will notice the glittering bottle of Gold Dust and request he use it to sharpen your sword once more! Accept, go back outside, and wait another day!

The Third day is here and you can now get your new Gilded Sword! This bad boy will never dull for it's made out of gold! (If that makes sense) Hope I helped!

Thanks, I found I still had slot for keg so I bought one and took it back with me. After beating boss again Goron Village is still covered with snow but if you go all the way into graveyard when you come out you can proceed right to blowing up boulder at race track. I got the sword with time to spare! Thanks again.
