I've created a new user permissions set for mafia game moderators. The permissions will allow you to apply thread reply bans and lock/unlock threads in the mafia section.
Thread Reply Bans:
This permission may be used to ban users from replying to your thread once they have been killed (they will still be able to view the thread, but not reply). If users who are not signed up to your game reply to your thread before the game is over you may also ban them from replying. It is only to be used in your currently ongoing game thread. If for whatever reason you think a user should be banned from replying to your sign-ups thread or any other thread please use the report function as per usual, rather than these permissions. Please remove all thread reply bans once the game has concluded unless instructed otherwise by a Moderator or Administrator.
Lock/Unlock Threads:
You may use this permission to Lock and Unlock your game thread to prevent night posting. It should not be used for any other thread than your current game thread.
Permission Misuse:
These permissions grant the technical ability to ban users from replying to any thread in the Mafia section and lock/unlock any thread in the section also but should only be used for your ongoing game thread. In order to deter any use of these permissions against the conditions stated above, any misuse will result in a Permanent Mafia Section Ban and a 15 Point Infraction being applied to your account. See the Forum Rules for more information on Infraction Points. All of these actions are automatically logged and as these logs are regularly checked by the Administrator any misuse will be easily detected.
Obtaining Permissions:
To be granted the permissions please message an Administrator or Community Coordinator with a link to your Game Thread and ask be added to the Current Mafia Game Moderator user group. A list of these staff at any given time can be found in the Staff and User Rankings thread under the List of Current Forum Staff. Please also remind us to remove the permissions after your game is over.
Note that you are not obliged to use any of these permissions on your own thread if you don't wish to do so.
