What are some little things that never fail to brighten your day?

Mine are:

Feeling warm laundry out of the dryer,

Cute kitten pics,

The Christmas Tree all lit up,

Seeing how clean and organized a room is after I finish cleaning it,

How happy someone is when I do service for them,

Drinking hot chocolate on cold, rainy day,

Someone likes my art.

A few years ago I bought a sort of expensive Milla Maxwell statue that I imported from Japan.

She has pride of place on my bedside cabinet, so when I wake up each morning she's the first thing I see.

Seeing her makes me happy each day.

Finding house centipede visitors always makes my day.

Also, my houseplants being themselves. They've made me extra happy this year; I'm really glad they're here with me.

When I leave the subdivision and get on the highway to go to work, I love the thrill of accelerating to 60 mph in my little old Chevy Impala. It's actually up a hill, and it reminds me of a Chevrolet ad from the 50's where they called the car a "hill flattener", in the sense that it's so powerful it makes hills feel like nothing. It's pretty neat.

Finding something really out of the ordinary in a rather nondescript location:
I am currently taking a weekend escape up to Asheville, I was driving this morning in an a slightly industrial district of Asheville to the southwest of downtown. Usually when I think of quasi-industrial buildings near a city centre, I think of them as gritty and often peppered in graffiti, but this building had above the loading dock a rather awesome mural that featured Homer Simpson from The Simpsons and Bender from Futurama. I am tempted to take a photo of it on my phone and post it to Facebook.
