This is a thread in which you can find pictures and information of all the new Pokémon set to debut in Pokémon Sun & Moon. I will be updating this thread as new information becomes available/new Pokémon are revealed, so check back often if you want to be caught up!

Click the spoiler below to find a full list of all currently known Pokémon, along with links to each one's respective Bulbapedia page.

Rowlet

250px-Rowlet.png
Type: Grass/Flying
Ability: Overgrow

Rowlet is an owl-like Pokémon that acts as the Grass-Type member of the Alola Region's trio of starter Pokémon. Like all other Grass-Type starters, it has the ability Overgrow, which increases the power of all damaging grass-type moves when its HP is less than or equal to 1/3 of its total. Its evolutions are not currently known. It has the lowest weight of all starter Pokémon. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Litten

250px-Litten.png

Type: Fire
Ability: Blaze

Litten is the Alola Region's Fire-Type starter Pokémon. It appears to be based on a generic domestic kitten. Like all other Fire-Type starters, it has the ability Blaze, which increases the power of all damaging fire-type moves when its HP is less than or equal to 1/3 of its total. Its evolutions are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Popplio

250px-Popplio.png
Type: Water
Ability: Torrent

Popplio is the Water-Type starter Pokémon of Generation VII. It appears to be based on the common sea lion, perhaps more specifically a circus seal. Like all other Water-Type starters, it has the ability Torrent, which increases the power of all damaging water-type moves when its HP is less than or equal to 1/3 of its total. Its evolutions are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Pikipek

250px-Pikipek.png
Type: Normal/Flying
Ability: Keen Eye or Skill Link

Pikipek seems to be the Alola region's generic early-route bird Pokémon, following in the footsteps of Pokémon such as Pidgey and Starly before it. In this case, it appears to be based on a woodpecker. As of right now, it can have one of two known abilities. Keen Eye prevents loss of accuracy, and also prevents opponents from increasing evasion. Skill Link ensures that any attacks that hit multiple times will always hit the maximum possible number of times (eg. Fury Swipes will always hit five times). Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Yungoos

250px-Yungoos.png
Type: Normal
Ability: Stakeout or Strong Jaw

Yungoos will likely be the Alola region's local generic Normal-type Pokémon, similar to Pokémon such as Sentret or Patrat. It is evidently based on a mongoose. Like Pikipek, it can have one of two currently known abilities. Stakeout is an ability that automatically doubles damage dealt to any Pokémon that enters the field mid-battle. Strong Jaw increases the power of all biting type moves by 50%. Yungoos evolves into Gumshoos (see below). Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Gumshoos

250px-Gumshoos.png
Type: Normal
Ability: Strong Jaw

Gumshoos is another generic Normal-Type Pokémon, being the evolved form of Yungoos (See above). It shares the same abilities as Yungoos, those being Stakeout and Strong Jaw. Stakeout is an ability that automatically doubles damage dealt to any Pokémon that enters the field mid-battle. Strong Jaw increases the power of all biting type moves by 50%. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Grubbin

250px-Grubbin.png
Type: Bug
Ability: Swarm

Grubbin was the first new Bug-type Pokémon to be revealed. It seems like it will end up taking Wurmple and Scatterbug's place as the Alola region's generic common Bug-type Pokémon. It appears to be based on the common grub, or larval beetle. It has the ability Swarm, which increases the power of all damaging Bug-Type moves when the Pokémon's HP is less than or equal to 1/3 of its total. It evolves in Charjabug, which eventually evolves further into Vikavolt (See below for info on both). Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Charjabug

250px-Charjabug.png
Type: Bug/Electric
Ability: Battery

Charjabug has a design that seems to based on a battery, which would fit with its electric typing. I personally think it looks like a bus. Charjabug has a new ability called Battery, which increases the power of Special attacks used by allies in Double or Triple battles. Charjabug was the first Pokémon to have its evolution revealed (see Vikavolt). It was later revealed to be the first evolution of Grubbin. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Vikavolt

250px-Vikavolt.png
Type: Bug/Electric
Ability: Levitate

Vikavolt is a stag beetle-like Pokémon, and the first Pokémon to be revealed that is an evolution of another, being the evolved form of Charjabug, which in turn is the evolved form of Grubbin. It has the ability Levitate, which causes it to be immune to almost every Ground-Type attack. It is also immune to moves such as Spikes or Arena Trap. It is presumed that its levitate ability will also allow it to participate in Sky Battles should they exist in this game. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Rockruff

250px-Rockruff.png
Type: Rock
Ability: Keen Eye or Vital Spirit

Rockruff is pretty cute. It is obviously based on a puppy. The rock typing is interesting because it definitely doesn't look like a rock type, but this isn't the first case of this. Overall, it's got a cool design. It can have one of two currently known abilities. Keen Eye prevents loss of accuracy, as well as increase in opponent's evasion. Vital Spirit prevents it from falling asleep by any means in battle. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Komala

250px-Komala.png
Type: Normal
Ability: Comatose

Komala is a koala-like Normal type Pokémon. It's pretty generic, but each generation has had its fair share of generic-looking Normal types. I like the koala design, because it's unique, and Komala is adorable. Its Comatose ability prevents it from being affected by all status conditions with the exception of Sleep (essentially opposite to Rockruff's Vital Spirit). Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Tapu Koko

250px-Tapu_Koko.png
Type: Electric/Fairy
Ability: Electric Surge

Tapu Koko appears to be loosely based on some kind of rooster. It has a rooster-like mask that it can cover its regular face with. It is currently known to be Genderless, however this information may change at a later date. It has an ability known as Electric Surge, which automatically unleashes the move Electric Terrain on the battlefield when the Pokémon is sent out. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

As a sidenote, Tapu Koko has my personal favourite design out of all the currently known Gen VII Pokémon.

Drampa

250px-Drampa.png
Type: Normal/Dragon
Ability: Berserk or Sap Sipper

Drampa is the first Normal/Dragon Pokémon. It's an interesting type combination for sure. Drampa looks goofy, but I quite like its design, and it seems to be based on a typical Chinese Dragon. It can have one of two known abilities. Berserk is a new ability that raises the Pokémon's Special Attack by one stage when its HP falls below half (into the yellow zone). Sap Sipper is an ability that makes the Pokémon immune to damaging Grass-Type moves, and also boosts its Attack by one stage when hit by said moves. The fact that it has abilities that increase both its special and physical attack stats in battle make it seem like Drampa will have fairly balanced attack and special attack stats. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Bruxish

250px-Bruxish.png
Type: Water/Psychic
Ability: Dazzling or Strong Jaw.

Bruxish is quite strange looking. It looks to me like the disastrous result of breeding an Alomomola with a Jynx. It's got an interesting typing; not exactly unique, but fairly uncommon nowadays. I think it's one of the worst designed Pokémon ever though. Its abilities are interesting. Dazzling prevents opposing Pokémon from being able to use increased priority moves, such as Quick Attack. Strong Jaw, meanwhile, increases the power of bite attacks, like Bite or Crunch. I just can't get over that god awful design, this thing is seriously gonna give me nightmares. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Cutiefly

250px-Cutiefly.png
Type: Bug/Fairy
Ability: Honey Gather or Shield Dust.

Cutiefly is adorable. It seems to resemble a common everyday housefly, or a bee. Doesn't seem like it'll be much of a powerhouse, but I guess we'll find out soon. Its Honey Gather ability gives it a chance of automatically picking up Honey after battles. Its other ability, Shield Dust, is much more useful, as it prevents any additional effects from occurring when the Pokémon is hit by a damaging attack (eg. Fire Type moves that have a chance of causing burns, or Electric Type moves that have a chance of causing Paralysis, would only damage Cutiefly and not cause the secondary effect). Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Togedemaru

250px-Togedemaru.png
Type: Electric/Steel
Ability: Iron Barbs or Lightning Rod

Togedemaru seems to be this generation's generic electric rodent, similar in appearance to Pikachu and Dedenne. This time around, it appears to resemble a hedgehog, which I believe is fairly unique. Its design is pretty typical though. Togedemaru has the ability Iron Barbs, which causes the attacker to lose 1/8 of its total HP when it hits Togedemaru with a physical attack. It may also have the ability Lightning Rod, which is a common ability among electric types that automatically causes all single-target electric attacks to hit it, thereby increasing its special attack stat. Pokémon with Lightning Rod are also completely immune to all electric type attacks. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Salandit

250px-Salandit.png
Type: Poison/Fire
Ability: Corrosion

Salandit is a Poison/Fire type Salamander-like Pokémon. It's not the first fire salamander we've had (Charmander is also a fire salamander), but it's the first one that actually really looks like a salamander. The Poison/Fire typing is interesting, it's definitely gonna give it a good edge against Grass types. Something about its design makes me think it'll mostly inhabit the volcanic areas of the Alola region. It has a sweet new ability, called Corrosion, which allows it to inflict Poison on any Pokémon, even if they are normally immune to the status condition. Possibly one of the best abilities yet. It'll be interesting to see what Salandit evolves into, since it's quickly becoming one of my personal favourite new Pokémon. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Mimikyu

250px-Mimikyu.png
Type: Ghost/Fairy
Ability: Disguise

Mimikyu is a really unique new Pokémon. Its design is clearly based on Pikachu, with some inspiration from common ghost costumes, but it has a new ability that allows it to change its appearance to something else. Its ability, Disguise, works in such a way that once during a battle, when it is hit by an attack, it will not take damage and its appearance will change. It is currently unknown if the effect occurs after the first hit, or if there is something that triggers it, or if it occurs at a random time. Overall, it's a really cool ability, and a neat idea for a new Pokémon. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Bewear

250px-Bewear.png
Type: Normal/Fighting
Ability: Fluffly or Klutz

Bewear is sort of strange looking. There have been a lot of bear-like Pokémon in the past, and the fighting subtype isn't unique for it. Regardless, I find myself really liking this one. It looks innocent, but probably will be one hell of a good fighter when it needs to be. Its two abilities are OK, but neither of them are really anything special. Fluffy is a new ability that makes it take only half damage from physical attacks, but doubles damage taken from Fire type attacks. Klutz, on the other hand, is an ability that prevents held items from having any effect on Bewear during battle, with some exceptions (notably Mega Stones). Its stats are unknown, but unless it has good stats, I see this Pokémon as being mediocre at best. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Wimpod

250px-Wimpod.png
Type: Bug/Water
Ability: Wimp Out

Wimpod is a new Bug Pokémon with a water subtyping. It doesn't seem like anything special; however, it has a new ability called Wimp Out, which automatically causes it to flee/switch out when its HP runs below half (into the yellow zone). It's not a great ability, but it's interesting, and it could make for some neat battle strategies. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Bounsweet

250px-Bounsweet.png
Type: Grass
Ability: Leaf Guard or Oblivious

Bounsweet is a Grass-type Pokémon resembling a berry. Nothing about it stands out at the current time. It can have one of two currently known abilities. Leaf Guard is an ability that prevents status inflictions during Harsh Sunlight. Oblivious is an ability that prevents infatuation, and also prevents the Pokémon from being affected by Taunt. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Comfey

250px-Comfey.png
Type: Fairy
Ability: Flower Veil or Triage

Comfey is a Pokémon that takes very obvious inspiration from the traditional Hawaiian Lei. Its Flower Veil ability seems somewhat worthless, since it only works on grass-type Pokémon (interestingly enough, none of the Pokémon that can have it are grass-types). However, its other ability, Triage, is much more useful, as it gives any HP restoring moves highest priority over all other attacks. This could prove to be incredibly useful, especially if Comfey's attack/defense stats are relatively low. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Mudbray

250px-Mudbray.png
Type: Ground
Ability: Own Tempo or Stamina

Mudbray is a ground-type that resembles a common pony. It can have the ability Own Tempo, which prevents it from getting confused. Its other ability, Stamina, is slightly more useful as it increases the Pokémon's defense by one stage whenever it is hit by an attack. It evolves into Mudsdale (see below). Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Mudsdale

250px-Mudsdale.png
Type: Ground
Ability: Own Tempo or Stamina

Mudsdale is a ground-type that is clearly based on a horse. More specifically, it resembles the Clydesdale horse, which is most likely where its name comes from. It can have the ability Own Tempo, which prevents it from getting confused. Its other ability, Stamina, is slightly more useful as it increases the Pokémon's defense by one stage whenever it is hit by an attack. It evolves from Mudbray (see above). Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Oricorio

250px-Oricorio-Baile.png

Baile Style
Type: Fire/Flying
Ability: Dancer

Oricorio is a unique new Pokémon. It seems to be based on a hula dancing bird. I'm not overly sure about the history or traditions of Hawaii, but I'm assuming it's based on some sort of specific creature. It has the ability Dancer, which makes the Pokémon automatically use any dance moves that are used against it (eg. Swords Dance).

While its evolution(s) are not currently known, if it even has any, Oricorio has four different forms it can take, depending on which Island it is found on in the wild (and it can change forms by sipping nectar of certain flowers). Its four forms all have different primary types, but they all share the flying subtype. Its normal form, the Fire/Flying form, is known as the "Baile Style Oricorio". Its three other styles are in the spoiler below.

Minior

250px-Minior.png
Type: Rock/Flying
Ability: Shields Down

Minior appears to be based on a meteor. Its typing is interesting. It is a Rock/Flying type, which is a very good type combination as it loses the regular weakness to grass-types, and becomes completely immune to ground-types (which seem to be fairly common in this region). It has an alternate form, which is activated via its Shields Down ability. While it is normally highly defensive, Shields Down makes it shed its protective shell when its HP drops below half (into the yellow zone), instead turning it into more of an attacker than a defender. I think its good type combination, combined with its interesting ability, are gonna make this a really good Pokémon. I quite like its design, too. Its evolution(s) are not currently known. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Fomantis

250px-Fomantis.png
Type: Grass
Ability: Leaf Guard

Fomantis is a small, seed-like grass Pokémon. It has the ability Leaf Guard, which prevents status afflictions during Harsh Sunlight. It evolves into Lurantis. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Lurantis

250px-Lurantis.png
Type: Grass
Ability: Leaf Guard

Lurantis is a flower-like grass Pokémon. It evolves from Fomantis. While Fomantis looks like a seed, Lurantis appears to be the flower that grows from it. It has the ability Leaf Guard, which prevents status afflictions during Harsh Sunlight. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.

Solgaleo

250px-Solgaleo.png
Type: Psychic/Steel
Ability: Full Metal Body

Solgaleo is one of the two Legendary Mascots of Pokémon Sun & Moon, being the mascot of Pokémon Sun. It was the first non-mythical legendary shown. It appears to be based on a great lion, with a face that resembles the sun. It has a second form, known as Radiant Sun Solgaleo, a picture of which is in the spoiler below. It has the new ability Full Metal Body, which prevents stat reduction caused by another Pokémon. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.
600px-Solgaleo-RadiantSunPhase.png

Lunala

250px-Lunala.png
Type: Psychic/Ghost
Ability: Shadow Shield

Lunala is one of the two Legendary Mascots of Pokémon Sun & Moon, being the mascot of Pokémon Moon. It was the second non-mythical legendary shown, immediately after Solgaleo. It appears to be based on a bat, with a face and shape that resembles the moon. It has a second form, known as Full Moon Lunala, a picture of which is in the spoiler below. It has the new ability Shadow Shield, which lowers the amount of damage taken from attacking moves when at full HP. Any other relevant information will be added when it becomes known.
600px-Lunala-FullMoonPhase.png

Magearna

250px-Magearna.png
Type: Steel/Fairy
Ability: Soul-Heart

Magearna is the first Mythical Pokémon revealed, as well as the first Pokémon revealed overall. It is unknown how it will be distributed. It appears to be based on some sort of robot, having a completely steel body and a gear-shaped head. It has the new ability Soul Heart, which raises its Special attack when a Pokémon in the area faints.

Its origin, taken from Bulbapedia:
Margearna was created 500 years by a scientist of uncommon genius. The sphere in Magearna's chest is known as the Soul-Heart and is Magearna's true form. If the Soul-Heart is removed, Magearna's body will be left lifeless and unable to move. The scientist created Magearna's Soul-Heart by gathering the life force of many Pokémon. Magearna has the power to perceive the emotions, thoughts, and feelings of other Pokémon. If a Pokémon is injured, Magearna will feel the other's pain and suffering and will try as hard as it can to save that Pokémon. By curling inside of itself, Magearna can take the appearance of a Poké Ball. It takes this form while sleeping or when it is feeling sad.
