He said that he looked good in Elf Clothes(referring to Kokiri I presume), not that he was an elf.

Anyway, I agree with you, Link is pure awesome. Nobody else in the Zelda series is as cool as him. He beat everyone else, anyway. The guy can do just about anything, even teleport 7 years through time, make time reverse itself, and everything else.
