"gay people are really nice"
wasn't really taught this, more so a comment my teacher made, but honestly virtually all the gay people I've meet were either arrogant jerks or just plain jerks
I know this is a generalization on both our parts but it's what sprang into mind
Nikola Tesla - The real genius mad scientist. That Christopher Columbus discovered America, and that Thomas Edison invented the light bulb.
I remember learning that America was the only land where you are free to do whatever you want, and every other country is controlled by a dictator or monarch or something, and it's subjects are told how to work and where to buy houses, and who to marry. Or something like that. We also skipped over all of America's crap during any war. Also never knew kids were actually taught America was the greatest nation on earth. Sure, told it was a great nation, but also was told about its shortcomings.
"Welcome to math class, today we're learning that America is the greatest nation, praise our Supreme Emperor Bush"
Dizziness reminded me of one.... Trigonometry will be used in my adult life! Algebra.... Yes in a small degree but I've never had to find the length of the long side of an isosceles triangle
