I dont know guys....something kinda jostled me awake recently. I was at work yesterday and I was informed that one of the semi drivers that I know, who I hadnt seen in a few weeks, had suddenly passed away of a stroke or a heart attack. He was in his late sixties. Anyway, he had been telling me since day one of my job that he was really tryin' to retire soon. Some time in mid 2025 was his hope. So fast forward from September to late December. We have a few days off from work and what not and come back like that next week. Move a bit further to yesterday and I hadnt seen him for a bit. No biggie to me. Lotts of semi drivers I still havent seen since last year. Big deal. I was unloading a semi and that driver tells me that Robert, his name, had passed away. He had retired Christmas Eve and was moving to Alabama. I dont know where exactly it had happened but yeah, he passed away. And like, thats absolutely terrible. He literally didnt care about waiting 5 more months, said screw it, and dipped because he was tired of working. And he died right after. This guy was the solidest driver there. And just like that, he was gone. But I mean like, why him out of all people.

Thats the crazy thing. We make plans and stuff and it doesnt come to be. I dont think he was able to even like talk to anybody or anything while he was dying. One second, he was there, the next he was gone. You really just gotta be ready for it at all times. I know it sounds morbid but like, you have to think about death a lot. It will come for you
