the dumb broken line mouth thing is like a plague carried by people who try to copy anime artstyles but dont understand the reason the line is broken in the first place so like they make it always broken even when it makes no sense

its broken to show an overlap of the upper lip on the lower lip btw so from a lotta angles its totally stupid

i get why they do it but i dont feel compelled to use it. its one way to reduce lines i guess.

i usually just underline the lower lip instead
