KNIGHTFALL

Vira turns to Ka'Nos and crosses her arms. "My name's Vira Solunin," she starts. "But without a concrete plan I don't think I'm on board with anything..."

Ka'nos thinks on this
"well. I think forming an army is our best bet. Men, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and the like. with every day villages like here get raided, but a road trip is what we need to do. what say you?"

"A road trip to where?" Vira asks. "And why would anyone, let alone an entire army, follow any of us? Unless of course you've got something special up your... sleeve, Ka'nos."

Ka'Nos looks down to his bare chest trying to see where there could be a sleeve
"I don't have anything special, but I feel like if we make a good enough case, people will flock together to take down this Regime. The Obsidian Emperor must fall, and a new system of power must be established. perhaps one where it's not a King of The Mountain situation"

"Wouldn't that be a lovely outcome? Add some rainbows and unicorns and it will be paradise." Vira then stopped herself for a second before continuing. "I'm sorry if I seem a bit pessimistic. What you're proposing is wonderful but its not something I could see us achieving. If the Obsidian Emperor falls, a new one will take its place and rule the land with just as much tyranny. That's how it's always been. It's a never-ending cycle of evil and misfortune."

"Well, Vira, what do you suggest we do? How do we stop the endless cycle of tyranny and unrest? Leo over there suggested full stealth assassination. I think the 4 of us are stealthy enough to do that. But if we kill the emperor, another mook takes his place. We need a solution that sticks that doesnt involve a mass genocide of a race."

Vira puts her index finger over her lips and thinks for a bit. "Well, there's a couple of things I think we would need in order to successfully change this land for the better," she starts and straightens her posture. "We would need someone with outstanding leadership qualities capable of inspiring citizens from across the land to join forces and form an army strong enough to defeat the army of the Obsidian Emperor. Whoever we find with such leadership qualities must be 100% trustworthy because if they aren't then they may just take the throne for themselves and become the new Obsidian Emperor with nothing having changed at all. We need this leader to sit on the throne only temporarily until some new laws have been written; laws about democracy and restrictions for how long a ruler may rule and whatnot. There's a lot that needs to fall perfectly in place on order for all of that to work out. And even if it does work out the plan may not even be fully realised by the end of your lifetime, half-orc." After finishing her monologue Vira caught herself being slightly out of breath so she took a deep breath to ease down.

"so then we must find this one Person, for clearly it is not any of us. I doubt any one of us, even the Steward of House Elandril is trustworthy enough to be left to lead the Army unheeded. what we need is a circle that can lead the armies on equal ground. I mean right now it's just the four of us, against at least ten thousand Orcs of various ranks and areas of expertise, though there is a lot of Brutes. from what I gathered, 3000 came here... to be honest that's overkill. they only needed 300 to get through this farming town

Ka'Nos laid on one of the pews and decided it was best to take a nap before heading on his way

Seeing most of the other people in the building retreat into themselves Vira raised an eyebrow and walked out of the church. Finding a reliable leader like the one she had described seemed totally unrealistic in this age. Best just to mind one's own business and hope to be left alone. She was still tired from the walk here since she hadn't had time to rest her body since she got done escorting the family to this village, so she found a less busy area where construction work wasn't as active and sat down on the ground with her back leaning against a wall.
